BluntCrazeMan:
So, how did you guys Monitor Ambode?
How are you guys monitoring this current Sanwo Olu?
We have various official and unofficial channels to monitor our Governors and I can not disclose all here. The monitoring begins from Day 1. For example, right from Day 1, from the first week HE Ambode took over and security became low with rising cases of crimes and attack in traffic, Lagosians were all over the channels stridently complaining until he addressed the issue, later was the citizen complaint against Lastma which at some point led Lastma to go on strike which was later resolved. His projects too were being monitored, for example, it was from his first year in office that Lagosians have started complaining that he is not continuing with legacy projects but starting new ones.

When he took the PSP job from the ordinary people he underrated and sent them into bankruptcy despite several appeals to him when he gave the job to a company called Visionscape, he was told to his face( the video is still online) that he will not get a second term and as he is paying them back with evil after supporting him. HE Ambode never got second term.
His wife also had some problems with the Head Clergy in the state chapel who was fired. Do not try the buzz that created especially among the indigenes.
For HE Sanwo olu, the first target was to reverse the unpopular policies of HE Ambode, return to the legacy projects, complete the new projects initiated by HE Ambode before commencing his own projects. He is following through with these agreements including the Lagos Smart city, new universities etc. That is why he is likely to come back.

So if we monitor our own Governor in Lagos and I recommend same to you, please take it in good faith. You may not get anything from Prof Soludo unless you monitor him closely.

He has a penchant for trying outlandish experiments and you need to know that at FG level of CBN , he has so much funds to play with like the multibillion dollar currency minting contract he signed out to an Australian company, the $7 billion gift to private banks etc but at state level, resources are meagre and you must insist on getting value.

As Gov., Prof Soludo will not be signing multibillion dollars contract of free money he had in CBN as he is used to. Now he has to defend his budget unlike his tenure when he does not submit budget to a legislature and he was the all in all with no NA oversight of CBN under him and how he will cope now that he is not going to sign off with a jumbo severance package is yet to be seen.

As he is starting first by playing to the gallery, that is the first red flag that he is going to get his priorities wrong and as he is overpromising, he is likely to underdeliver.

He is more of Prof. Ayade until he proves otherwise.

For purposes of enlightenment, I would like to highlight areas of Obiano's achievement that impressed me;
1. Infrastructure - (a) The international airport, the best in Nigeria with satellite landing system, the technology that enables America to land planes on their aircraft carriers anywhere in the world. (b) 10,000 international conference center, one of the best in Nigeria. This can help make Anambara the entertainment center of West Africa. (c) A lot of road networks for easy movement from one end of the state to the other.
2. Lighting up of Anambara State. Major streets in Anambara have streets light.
3. Education. Anambara is now competing at an international level. For many years Anambara students have been wining many awards, both nationally and internationally. America has now set up a cultural center in the State with the sole purpose of luring these students to America where they will join people like me in the country for more than 40 years, helping to keep America number one in the technology sector. I'm most excited about the 12 technical schools Obiano built which will be producing up to 9,000 graduates a year. Technical education was what helped China to develop so fast. Chinese are today considered as mater builders and manufacturers.
4. Agriculture; Under Obiano, rice production rose from 85,000 metric tons to 530,000 metric tons surpassing the state consumption of 330,000 metric tons. More that 2,000,000 metric turns in casava production. Fish farming and animal husbandry are areas that are currently getting attention from the state government.

No wonder America and Britain voiced concern during attempted rigging of Anambara governorship election because of their interest in the State.
Just Name 10 Roads that were completed and Commissioned in his Second Tenure..
(Even if they were inherited road projects....)

Aba pig. Obiano did many roads and bridges. You think Obiano is your fat incompetent Okezie that has been building one flyover for 7yrs.

Obiano built single handedly an international airport with all the link roads.

It was easier for Lagos to monitor and assess their leaders because there is a template.
Now, he produced a template with which Anambra People should monitor him with.

Do you know that in order to complete the Airport Project, the I.C.C Project, and the Awka City Stadium Project before leaving, Obiano had to keep the Whole Economy of Anambra State on a stand-still, and money was not properly circulating...
Only the Legacy Projects were receiving attention, and then the recurrent expenditures of the State..
And what was the resultant effect??
Many people who were doing other contracts with the government reduced the number of the semi-skilled and unskilled staff.
More poverty greeted the people.
And they went back to their villages to do agriculture.
Some of them adhered strictly to agriculture for survival.
While some started adding some other bad stuffs, and doing bad things to survive.

The laziest ones among them had already lost total hope in the whole system, and started waiting on Biafra to come quick and save them from the current frustration.
..
All these were caused by the poorly calculated, badly-timed legacy projects.
And he is planning to name the Airport After his name, in order to immortalise himself.. So selfish of him.

Will he live through that vision? 6 month vision is good so that you can be assessed early enough.
And after the 6-months, what next?
We sit and wait till he develops another short-term plan?
So, you really think that the document doesn't have urgent plans, immediate plans, short-term plans, intermediate plans before the long term plans well detailed inside it, with which even he himself can also be assessed??
Wait until the contents of the document is fully digested by the public.
Then you can come back with the comment.
Lucky enough, the document is just 200-pages.

Height of irresponsibility.... whenever they talk of 50 Yr plan u know they are not ready to work
toujurs:
This anambra honestly is a very dumb state, if not for the citizens born with natural wisdom, and a philanthropic heart, walaihi his state would have been a shadow of its self just like ekiti state. If not for the likes of ngige and peter obi as well. I hope soludo bring s in substantial development and economic al growth and won't be influenced by that greedy victor umeh undecided.
Tywo2018:
We are always in Vision never in reality. I pity for the Country. 2070
GenBuhari:
This man is still campaigning?
Abeg face your work sir.
We don't need to see the plan, just the execution.

Gov. Engr. Umahi never published his vision he just executed and now within 7 years he has given his state infrastructure that some states cannot manage in 50years.
Selfmotivated:
This vision is like building castles in the air... That's how vision 20" 2020 died when the then president is not alive... Long-term plans is good but here in Nigeria there is nothing like continuity. Presumably, any long-term development plan that exceeds 15 years is likely to fail because using two decades to achieve one project is time-wasting, and misappropriation of funds, could have used to attain two goals within the time frame
Wealthoptulent:
Vision 2070? This guy no o do anything visible to u in 8yrs to come! Even bella sang vision 2020 n he blew bfr then true truly.. but this ah himself no dey to see am.. this is pure 9ja bet ticket goal goal handicap .. e don cut from staking stage

snoopz:
2070 should not be the focus rn, why he no deal with the immediate future he can really change?
Basheer22:
Maybe he has tasted meth. grin
He should focus on 7 years and use 6 months to plan and 6 months for correction. Total of 8 years.
Focusmind:
All these cosmetics and jamborees are not necessary. This is not what an average Anambrarian wants now.

Just get down to business and start fixing all the dilapidated roads in the state, improve the security situation, evacuate the enormous waste and dirt littered round the major towns in the state and implement modern urban renewal schemes. The cities of Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi are in sorry state, especially Nnewi - a behemoth that has refused to grow beyond the village level.
Malory:
Exactly. We don't want stalling development in our state. There are many uncompleted projects abandoned by Obiano that he should work on
naija4life247:
I hope our erudite Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo the Solution has not started taking drugs. We never implement 4 years plan, Prof dey talk of 50 years.
jaxxy:
A good start bt the 10 year plan will determine if the 50 year plan will be attainable.
mikezuruki:
What happens if maybe another party wins after him and doesn't key into vision?

This 70 year plan is unrealistic. Given the nature and the composition of Nigeria.

8 years. 10years. Even 20 years. These are feasible.

But then, it is what it is

Vision 2020 just made me to remember Prof. Dora Akunyili.
She carried the Vision 2020 on her head like gala.
But everything about the Vision 2020 went down after she got ill, just because no other politician at the helm of affairs saw the vision as an important project, just the way she saw it.

Some are hidden selfish/greedy agenda hidden under sugar-coated strategies.
Some are not feasible.

The problem with Africa long term plan is after the tenure of the person who made the vision, others would come up with another long vision while the old one would be quashed somewhere.

Btw, when was vision 2020 made, when did Akunyili die?
