As of March 9, 2022, COVID-19 has been responsible for 162,482 deaths in the UK overall. The North West of England has been the most affected area in terms of deaths at 22,891, followed by the South East of England with 20,765 coronavirus deaths. Furthermore, there have been 19,021 mortalities in London as a result of COVID-19.
