There was no light and his generator was a small one. He assured me that the AC was in a good condition and he was selling because of relocation. He seemed like a honest person so I took his words. I also didn't have light but I had plans of buying a gen. When I finally installed it after two days of buying it, I informed him that it was blowing air but wasn't chilling while using a 4.5 kva gen and he said I should use a stabilizer...shortly after he said he'll send a voice note and since then he has been ignoring my calls and messages.

Nepa light came today and I called someone to check it, that was when I was told that the compressor was bad.
Too bad. Sorry about your experience.

You shouldn't have paid when you haven't verified that it's working well. Anything AC/Fridge should be well tested before sealing the deal when you are buying used.

Money as already exchanged hands, it will be hard to get the seller to turn up. Do everything within your means to reach a resolution.

It will be a miracle if you get respite for this situation with this gentleman method because I do NOT THINK someone will act gentlemanly.

First of all, Chikeshyboy is one of his several monikers. A few of his other monikers are Mike213 and George22016. I was able to decode this by inputing his phone number correctly and searching Nairaland with it. It will be difficult to identify his other monikers because he has grown wiser by stating his phone number in the coded format. I think he also sells cars (or sold cars) because I have his number saved on my phone as a dealer.

My point is, for someone who changes monikers like a chameleon, he pulled a premeditated stunt on you. He probably knew from the onset that the AC was bad and he was looking for who to dump it on. I can see that he last came online yesterday using this indicted moniker. He is probably viewing this allegation using another moniker.

Stop this gentleman method, bundle the item into a vehicle and storm his house asap and request for a refund.
