The long and short of his words were in the conditional tense. Many folk do not understand simple English and that is why I am at the forefront of advocating education in our own language Do not focus on headlines or analysis. Just look ate the quotes What were the actual words that he said and look at the whole interview In summary he said he has no candidate and no interest in who succeeds him He went on to say that even if he did and he named the person XY Z would happen Somehow illiterate folk have interpreted that to mean something completely different “I don’t have any favourite for 2023 and if I do, I won’t reveal his identity because if I do, he may be eliminated before the election. I better keep it secret”. |

CyynthiaKiss:Sentiment I am not a follow follow I deal in facts On the IBB bridge I was not corrected . I corrected the Mob. There was NEVER a time that the bridge was formally named after IBB If you have evidence to the contrary provide it. You do not name with mouth It must be gazetted. That NEVER happened Do not derail The issue here is what Buhari said or did not say That would be settled by providing quotes of what he said not opinions or interpretations What did he say . This is simple and does not require all these unnecessary emotions 1. “I don’t have any favourite for 2023 and if I do, I won’t reveal his identity because if I do, he may be eliminated before the election. I better keep it secret https://www.thecable.ng/who-is-buharis-2023-candidate 2. “I don’t have any favourite for 2023 and if I do, I won’t reveal his identity because if I do, he may be eliminated before the election. I better keep it secret.’’ https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/03/06/who-is-buharis-2023-candidate/ THIS IS WHAT HE SAID According to you the president said HE HAS HIS CANDIDATE That is not what those words mean so can you show us when and where he said that FEEL FREE to provide your own source and facts Not headlines or explanation Just quotes and source Buhari NEVER said he has a candidate BUT He said "I DON'T HAVE A FAVOURITE ...........etc That is why I use the word illiteracy |

Truthisunique2:You just talk sentimentally and emotionally all the time. Like the rest of your people. No surprise really. You should show us a feasible analysis of how Amaechi will win the general election if running against Atiku. Most of you Igbos only have 'anyone but Tinubu' brain which is worthless af working out that there is a lot at stake, for many, beyond blindly accepting what Buhari wants. |

Dapinski:the thing is you people are the sentimental emotional ones First I am not Igbo, secondly I don't use anti tinubu sentiment just to say what is not reality You think sentimatally that how can a whole tinubu fail, be used and dump, miss president etc I don't reason that way, the reality is tinubu has no control about the decisions that take place in apc, buhari have his candidate, buhari has interest in this election It's not for you to start shouting Igbo hate when this is the unfortunate reality you can't change Amaechi running against atiku is another ball game on its own, let them both get the tickets I would use the circumstances around that time to know the direction politically |

Truthisunique2:No need engaging you on baseless argument because I've trashed this out with you on previous post. It is an unserious person that would base his political success on the decision of someone's else. Even Amaechi would marvel at the kind of permutation you give here on his behalf. You daily come only to embarrass yourself without even aware that people close to Amaechi are reading your post. There's one thing to root for a candidate and another just make baseless assumptions to favour the candidate. The sooner you stop all these unnecessary and childish dreams the better for you |

Truthisunique2:Look, when even an averagely bright ordinary Nigerian can see that Amaechi cannot come remotely close to defeating Atiku, to become the President of Nigeria, why then would APC politicians, with serious stakes in the Party, sign their own death warrant blindly obeying Buhari? If Buhari does get his way and abuses power to make Amaechi the APC candidate, who and who, in the APC , would work for such a dead-on-arrival ambition plus waste of time, energy and resources 'mission impossible'? The conclusion would be that Buhari was always only looking to keep power in the North. In fact PDP would throw a big and lavish Party the day Amaechi emerges the APC candidate and invite PMB as guest of honour lol. That is why I said you have the 'anyone but Tinubu' worthless brain IPOBians possess that prevents them from seeing what is most obvious and in public sight. |

Dapinski:practically buhari didn't even win the atiku in the last election he rigged himself APC didn't win osun buhari rigged it APC didn't win Kano buhari rigged it for ganduje I can go on and keep citing examples where buhari have managed to rally resources around when he wanted to use it You keep saying where would amaechi win, forgetting their is a reason why even tinubu that considers himself popular want to fly the flag of the ruling party. Why don't he go to sdp since, there is a coverage that comes with the ruling party on its own (most people never knew yaradua or gej when obj was campaigning for them) If buhari is really serious about not having his party exit power just 8 years into it, he can galvanize federal powers for his candidate. You forget north see amaechi as a trusted son, so it is easier to work for amaechi in the north cos he has delivered projects Add this to buhari cult followers of over 6million, add this to the northern politicians in apc that would be mobilizing for him, add this to apc been a party with keen interest in the north. We have not factored the tantalizing option of zulum been vp (a man loved in the north) The atiku dilemma is more than settled up north, he would still split votes with kwanwaso who would be fighting with him for tribal votes North Central won't be wanting core fulani muslim as president again cos the fulani terrorists are emboldened by it, we have seen how atiku have failed to call his brothers to order Shift battle to south, west is always 50/50 but apc would still Nick it South south/south east amaechi would get at least 40% in these areas because the call for a southerner is high in south quarters Especially an Igbo, south south son who is christian |
