Even the thermocool no dey too retain frost (i assume you mean ice).

I use two thermocool deep freezer (100l and 240l), and the much it can retain frost for is less than 24hours. Really don't know if that is long enough though. But the good thing is, they are "light-weight"/inverter-friendly (even though they are not originally inverter referigerators). I use the 100l on my 1600w inverter and it carries it well. So I am sure there is constant light to keep it frozen. While I use the 240l on gen and nepa.

Be observant when picking your fridge /freezer. A few years back fouani must have had some serious handling or shipping issues. Serveral of their freezers were dented. I had to sharp eye when I bought mine. I was worried the issue was overly light metal plating and that my pikins woukd wind up denting the freezer. But it's been three years now and the freezer is undented. Just look very well at whatever they bring for you.

For me, times are changing. People should be more focused on the energy-efficiency of a refrigerator and how easily it can be powered by inverters, because as long as you are in Nigeria, Nepa will definitely fall your hand much longer than your refrigerator can retain frost. And it can be hard to find a refrigerator that retain frosts for several days and is energy-efficient. So, if your refrigerator is energy-efficient, you can be sure your inverter will always power it for as long as you like.

mine could go 36hrs if i don't open much, and i think 24hrs is not bad for a deep freezer, if you av bin using it for long check the gas might need top-up.
As much as lightweight/inverter sounds great, is inverter pocket friendly, if we put affordability, durability, sustainances and maintainance into consideration is it really worth the recommendation besides most nigerians are comfortable with what they understand, inverter wahala if e start no be here

I do not believe Nexus is better than Hisense. The point is why should I buy yours, a used fridge that you’ve been using for years at 60k excluding delivery and the wahala that may come up plus I’m not sure if it has been worked on with no warranty when I can get this and have peace of mind?

This fridge, can you upload the receipt? Did you buy it more than 70k? This is a Clearance sales thread. Goods are suppose to be cheaper than buying price. But here you are, calculating inflation and dollar price.

You are using your thermocool wrong, make sure you have less space in your freezer and see the magic, you can achieve that by putting in extra bags of water to fill it up then see if it won't pass the 24 hours mark.... Cheers!

I totally agree with you. I should go for something future-proof and as such, I intend to but not now. I need something to get by, y'know something temporal until I get my feet solidly on the ground (gidigba).
