I have always found it weird that Nigerian (we) use the term shit-hole to describe Nigeria….. maybe my thinking is off, but i feel it derogates us, and not the country.

A hole is just a hole, what makes it a shit-hole is the shit that is contained there in. I don’t see how referring to oneself as shit is a thing to say. The description doesn’t exclude any Nigerian (You inclusive) regardless of your location as a Nigerian.
