Nice one Ghana, Nigeria needs to start selling it's resources in Naira just like the Russians are selling their gas in rubble's. Let's keep the dollar aside and strengthen our currency

It is not just a decision to be made. We aren’t holding anyones ball, Russia is…we don’t have a choice

If I ask me, I'll say it's because most of their packaged consumer goods seem to be produced in Nigeria and transported there. Its applicable in all our neighbouring countries. Try buying softdrinks in Benin Republic or Togo, you'll be surprised how much they'll call it. I later learnt some people buy in bulk from Nigeria and send it there for sale, using any of these transport companies, hence the high prices ( don't know if they still do so)
They still do. Nigeria is subsidizing the whole of West Africa under the guise of ECOWAS Free Trade Treaty and it's killing Nigeria.

I was even wrong. Thank you for this information. Now add the 4 zeroes to that 7.45 and you will get the real value of the Cedis.
I know that you will not believe me but just Google and do more research about the Ghanaian currency.

Compared to Nigeria the Ghanaian cedi is between 7000 to 8000 Naira to a dollar. Ignore the 3 zeros they removed from their currency
It's actually 4 zeroes. In 2008 when they revalued it was $1 to 10,000 Cedis. They removed 4 zeroes to make it $1 to 1GhC but over the years their currency keeps getting worse. It's now 7.45Gh C to a dollar. Now add back the 4 zeroes and do the math.

Ghana cedis is far better than naira. Google is ur friend.

Study the screenshot you shared. Look at the graph.

The cedis is falling compared to the Naira

Some years ago, ghana changed the decimal places on their currency. This makes it look like it has value. It doesnt

I suggested this on other thread, if Nigeria has a similar situation:

A coup will happen.

The president and legislators that consider it would be killed by the coup plotters.

Ghana that people buy one bottle of beer and spend hours drinking it?

Ghana that envies Nigerians because our small boys will enter your clubs and go home with two gurls girls each?

When will I stop educating you Nigerians that 24/7 electricity is not rocket science neither is it a miracle is very practical and it happens in Ghana… ! Even if there is light out it doesn’t take more than 5-10 min max unless there is local issue maybe with a transformer, any other issue announcement is made via radio or tv if it exceeds 24hours…

Pity una self u need itgrin

Nigeria can add the whole of ghana to its electricity grid. Ghana cannot feed ordinary Oyo state.

Just because we bash our country doesn’t mean we are your mates.

Making Ghana whose population (31million) is less than that of just Lagos and kano (about 40milion) the subject further proves that the Nigeeian economy is sick.

All companies are shifting production to Ghana and a certain minister is accusing Ghana of lobbying them over and here you are talking about Secondary school economics.

Here is reality, don't compare with Ghana whom ordinarily you best. With the way things are imagine our population is even 50milion you think say any foreign investor to look our face

Lastly your if not corruption is funny like its not the main problem we are talking about.

I'm really most concerned about the communication channels. I'm sure somebody will be available to respond to emails should there be any questions. Ghana has a structure and institution. Nigeria is dying without recovery. The commonest thing one can think of is not commonplace in Nigeria. Ministries in Nigeria will never respond to emails of inquiries. I kept wondering why Nigeria got this bad that not even a single thing is working.

They're trying to copy Russia

No,No,No, they are not copying anybody !
Don't mix the two scenarios,as the Russians are box into tight corners because of Putin irresponsible leaders, whose main objective is to annexed a 42Millons Ukrainians and dubbed it 'special operations' but as we can see now,he has lost but has no shame to tell the Russians populations of 146-Millions People that he should resign!
The Ghanians are building their economy and they should be commended!
Unlike Nigerians that even in party affairs and to get a presidential candidate,it depends on the sharing of Dollars at a Convention.PDP did it in Port- Harcourt, where Atiku,Saraki etc were every where then? Is that not killing of Nigeria economy and where do we copy this act from.Do we see UK Officials, the Americans wasting their Currencies on Conventions and irrelevancy, for if politicians can be doing this, then no hope for economic rebound!
This is now being copied by all the politicians in Nigeria- get to power, get the treasury and recoup your money! Is that the way economy grow?
No wander the Unemployment amongst the Youths is a long trojan in the land of abundance!
Shame to our Politicians ,as they have no solutions again to move the country forward, other than lies!
Do you even know that Ghanians Currency- the Cedi is moving against the Naira? E ckoke,!
Argue with the truth and kiss the transformer!

The first question u should be asking urself is,why are they all moving to Ghana (e.g the likes of JP Morgan moved out of Nigeria, Pz Unilever etc moved out to Ghana majorly due to cost of production and security)... And stop comparing population where it's not applicable...
