I travelled to Port harcourt often for business but most times since January till now, my 9mobile signal would disappear and show "emergency call only". Initially i thought it was my phone developing fault but i inserted my MTN line on that slot to check if it's my phone but the MTN line just walked perfectly. So, i've observed this for three months as i drove through Port harcourt in search for signal which i didn't get. I even drove to GRA and Eleme still no way, missed the online whatsapp meeting with some indian business partners. I contacted 9mobile and they said they're working on it. But last week's "no signal" was terrible as it affected my business appointments as a lot of people could not get me through. Now i've decided to port my 9mobile line to MTN to do a better service since 9mobile is claiming to be more broke than me now... Please, who else has observed this and how do i port my number to MTN? Thanks in advance!

9mobile is ruining my business. Been experiencing this same network issue on their network in Portharcourt since this year. Happens often and on.

I've inserted another network sim on same slim slot and it works perfectly well, yet 9mobile sim on same phone is showing "Emergency calls only". Did sim replacement thinking my sim is damaged, but the same issue persists! And to think this is my business line.. damn.

Yesterday and today, same issue.. emergency calls only. Which kind problem be this naa.

Called their customer care this morning, and they admitted after expressly stating my annoyance on their network disruptiveness, that they have been having issues with Portharcourt network since this year. And that their engineers are working on it. Really?.. working on it since this year... and the year is almost ending.

Lost a lot of money yesterday, because customers couldn't reach me. It's time to port!
