My point; I have been seeing the possibility of Eric being a midfielder and the fact that we still have Busquets around right now or short in the defense might just be the only reason he is playing as a defender.


In the long run, I feel the traditional 433 with a standing DM would be the perfect fit for the young man, leaving Jong Pedri, Gavi, or Kessie, higher up!!

You are right. Garcia's tackle on Inaki Williams comes to mind. He is going to make a perfect DMF. Busquets can fit perfectly into defence due to his unrivalled ability to play from the back. I don't see any better solution to the DMF position better than this except Xavi wants a natural holding midfielder.

U dey mind them. They will continue to wail and cry. At some point in the match I began to glaringly feel the need for Ansu Fati's dribbling skills cos Ferran wasn't a good dribbler. But dude still delivered a decent game. If not for Aubameyang mostly anonymous play upfront they would have linked up more and given Torres more freedom.

This people usually forget it's Torre's runs in the box that usually frees up Dembele for his dynamic play.
