So many thieves in authority in Nigeria. I do not subscribe to just 6 year jail term, and a refund of a sum less than the amount stolen. This man, and some in government (to be revealed soon, hopefully), should suffer the full consequence of their actions - depriving the majority of their welfare.

This is ridiculous and encouraging corruption.
What this man deserves is death sentence.
Consider all the pensioners this man's wickedness has sent to an early grave for one reason or the other.
Corruption is the major cankerworm destroying this country and yet we don't have strong punitive measures to curtail it. That is why corruption has remained a wildfire destroying the very fabric of this country.

Square wetin ? ... If they were going to recover all he stole, the court won't offer an option of fine ! All that was taken from him by EFCC and the court were properties worth N325m out of the billions he stole. He was offered an option of N750k fine or 6 years jail term and you think he hasn't kept some mouth shut behind the scene ?? He should spend the rest of his life in incarceration !

Constitutional review exercises would always turn a blind eye to the atrocities perpetuated by the elite.

When it involves the common man, the judges would be quick to sentence him to longer jail time for stealing an ordinary pack of noodles.

May God punish the supreme Court. The sentence should be nothing less than 40 to 50 so years in prison. I weep for this country. Corrupt judiciary, legislature and executives. Meaning that one can just steal another man's 30 years hard saved pension and just go to prison for for 6 years only. The judge that gave such ruling must be a joke

Can you imagine!! Just six years jail term. This is why they keep stealling, afterall what's the worse that would happen..... 5 years or so and I'm back . . For Nigeria to effectively fight corruption, we need more severe punishments that these small small jail terms.... Give am like 350years with the option of each of his family members helping him till the offender dies
