NO ONE SHOULD INTERFERE WITH PROTESTS, Malawian Soldiers

Malawian Soldiers have directed that no one should interfere with protests that are currently going on in that country.
The soldiers have warned the Police that whoever will be found brutalizing citizens for registering their displeasure will be dealt with sternly.

Currently Malawian citizens led by activist, Oliver Nakoma have taken to the streets in Blantyre, over the rising cost of living and what they call false campaign promises of the Tonse Alliance which calls itself New Dawn government.

Attempts to stop the protests by high police presence in anti-riot gear and in civilian outfits failed as soldiers accompanied the protesters to Blantyre district council, where they are expected to deliver a petition.

The Army has warned that it will not entertain anyone to brutalize the people who are only exercising their rights.

This news inspires hope for Africans, especially, my dear country Nigeria, where the rights of her citizens means nothing to the ruling elites, who will stop at nothing to ensure that the reasonable voices that speaks for justice are strangled.

A diplomatic means of taming possible damage in case the protests is highjacked. Smart Leader used Soldiers to tame the possible anger from the protesters. If you can't think from the other side, you may not understand.

It's either a smokescreen and a diplomatic alliance btw Govt and it's military to decieve it's people OR the heads of the Military brass is oppossed to the Govt but don't want to stage a coup to destabilise the polity but allow citizens drive the change themselves

Truer words have never been spoken.

The territorial integrity of a nation is of Paramount interest and core focus of an ethically minded and politically neutral military that knows it onus. This is because the territorial integrity defines sovereignty, without which a country is merely a rubber stamp collection of people. And sovereignty reside with the people. The people are the true sovereign. Thus, a good army should, and will focus on defending the people from whom the state derives it's sovereignty.

The Malawian military just lived up to that. Kudos to them. cool

Here in Nigeria the armed forces act as if they don't live and trade in Nigeria or their salaries are not paid in naira.

The armed forces in Nigeria act as if they live in Dubai and they are paid in dollars as a result they are less concerned about anybody protesting.

I will always tag you to the evils the organization (Nigerian Army) you work for perpetrate on innocent civilians.
It is my job as a citizen of the earth to shame those involved in bringing evil unto others.
