We really need to get rid of shanties and other informal settlement in our urban areas. Sprawl development in our major cities should be nibbed in the bud before they fester into full blown slum... Nigerian cities as a whole need total gentrification and urban regeneration. Some govt have been doing quite well in urban facelifting but they need to stop the problem from the source; rural areas, by building most basic amenities in those areas so as to put a stop to rural-urban migration. Building mansions and whatnots in the villages by individuals like our brothers in the east does, only have little effect in this urban upliftment. 4 Likes |
