I dont know if you are just catching cruise and typing whatever you feel like or you are being serious but please be realistic. No military or paramilitary will recruit without medicals and screening.

Have you also thought of people with fake credentials ? So you expect the customs to just recruit people like that and put them on pay roll without the consideration of people with fake certificates and credentials

That NEVER HAPPENS in the military or paramilitary oga. And if I want to go by the process which culminated in the recruitment of officers late last year, it is IMPOSSIBLE.

Not supporting him sha but this is the first open recruitment in 10 years but they have been recruiting codedly this past years until Col Hammed Ali came. How do you think they have been doing it all these while?

Also like I said earlier I have a skill (tailor) but I didn't apply as a support staff although the guy at the cafe who did it for me said it isn't a problem that when he was at camp for immigration training, they asked them if anyone had a professional skill and were noted down..PLEASE HOW TRUE IS THIS?

In customs you get what you apply for. Although sometimes as a general duty officer you can work in other departments but I doubt if tailoring is one. So since you didn't apply as a tailor, you won't be one at least for now.

And concerning posting, I don't know what determines the posting of gd but support staffs are posted to their various departments immediately.

Sir, did some of the support staff tried changing to GD after leaving camp? That is for the recently commissioned. During their POP, I learnt that they were thought general customs duty and enforcement.

Correct the age on BVN that the one you'll use to open account in camp. I'm telling you that some people are still going to bank to rectify faults till now 4th month o

So make sure all details tally before going for documentation

Tell me the kind of bank related faults people had so I can know if I have any that needs rectification

Yes they were. In fact we were taught the same thing by same lecturers. As a Customs officer you're supposed to have knowledge in all areas and as such you need to be taught

No support staff tried to change to GD and even if they did it wouldn't work because the college does not have that kind of power only HQ does.

I don't know if they can change but if they want to then they have to be issued a new APL etc

That process above can take a lifetime

What if I got the job and later I further my education prolly through open uni, do u think getting promoted would be an Herculean task ?

OK. Age, name discrepancies. Age issa major challenge because your age has to tally with all the registrations like NIN, age declaration, BVN

Just make sure all is in order and you're good to go
