Still wondering how his fallout with WB got so bad he pulled out of the studio. That's huge Oscars potential they lost right here.

Universal will be overjoyed right now cos they seem out of the picture for major awards this past few years. Even new boy Apple TV+ dey more relevant.

The issue started with Tenet when it was about to be released during the lockdown in 2020: Warner Bros wanted the film on streaming platforms while Nolan insisted on cinemas because he shot it using IMAX.

(1997). I recently coped a remastered HD quality version of this classic and resaw it and i have now come to fully appreciate this masterpiece. Insanely good for the era it was made and it had an insane budget of $200 Million for a movie at that time but it didn't falter as it became the first movie to earn a $1Bn and it's still one of the highest grossing movie ever.

James Cameron is one hell of a filmmaker, the amount of research and ambition to produce this classic is arguably still unmatched till this day, it was the success of this that was probably the "Jetfuel" for the immense success financially of his next project "Avatar". The way the he spined a "forbidden love" story while trying to stay as historically factual as possible with the actual events of the sinking of the "RMS: Titanic" on April the 15th, 1912, was pure genius.
James Horner did a madness on the soundtrack and it's no wonder it's one of the best selling movie soundtrack of all time.

A true classic this movie.

It was purely a business move by WB releasing titles same day cinematic/ HBO max which Nolan wasn't a fan off. I believe WB will come across other film makers that will make damn a shii ton of money and win oscars too on the other hand will Nolan be able to secure finances for his ambitious project?

Well, Nolan seems to be able to get required finance for his first project Oppenheimer with Universal amidst serious demands.
Make we dey watch sha. I still don't think any studio would give Nolan $225mn WB gave him for TENET.
