Any direct unclean connotation was in the Old Testament and if you were to practice it fully, you wouldn’t even be in the same room as a menstruatinf woman. Clearly unpractical.
And the issue of the woman with the flow, this woman had been menstruating for 12 years on end so it wasn’t normal. Hence, the reason Jesus felt it and made a point of it. And the period wasn’t even the subject of that story smh.
It’s obvious you missed that what she essentially said was that don’t use your wife’s period (unclean) for (poorly educated people, or religiously brainwashed people) as an excuse to engage in extramarital affairs and catch aids. You can even wrap up if discharge, safety and hygiene is a problem. And for what it’s worth, period sex could literally be a drop of blood. And this person is also supposed to be your wife.
