I saw Ed Sheeran’s music video of for his song ‘Photograph’ again yesterday and I was discussing with my colleagues that I am always happy when I see that parents discover their children’s talents early and support them. For anyone who doesn’t know how the video is, it is a compilation of Ed Sheeran’s life from when he was a baby till now that he is a star. The video shows that he started playing the guitar when he very young and music grew up with him.

I told my colleagues that I am happy that my parents gave me good education and I am not blaming them at all but I probably would have been somewhere else now if my singing talent was caught early. I decided that I would pay more attention to my children and so if I notice that anyone likes sports or music or art or talking or anything else apart from only studies, I will make sure I help them nurture it. The problem I now have is that I don’t know what age I should begin to take them seriously.

I used to say that I wanted to be a broadcaster and later a medical Practitioner but now I have found myself in business and tech. I have a older cousin whose son at age 10 just started showing his love for cables and equipment suddenly and now at 14 he actually fixes one or two issues with phones and laptops and appliances like their kettle and iron. The boy almost tampered with their Fiberone cable one day and he dad almost ran mad. Network that he installed at home so that they can let him rest from every minute data subscription. By the way, I am quite close to them because he is my favourite cousin and I like free and fast WiFi.

So, I have seen this example with my cousin at age 10 and another colleague of mine has a son that actually likes to cook at age 7. She said he joins her in the kitchen all the time and fries better eggs than her. So, should I wait till like my children are about leaving primary school or should I take them seriously from like say 2 years old?

That’s true.

Parents can notice their children’s talents as early as the age of 4. Children these days are wise and are quick to want to explore their ideas

nowadays kids ! Nah from their 4/5 u"ll discovered a potential NEPA staff,problematic ones

I felt talent is based on what's the child accumulated from the environment
