Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP fighters have surrendered to men of the Nigerian Soldiers.

The terrorists numbering 72 surrendered to the Nigerian Military in the Northeast of Dikwa, Borno state.

According to a military source, the terrorists were recieved by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai after they voluntarily surrendered on Wednesday.

The sources said the suspects claimed to be tired of their current situation of hunger and unending bombardments of their hideouts left them with no choice than to escape from their group and surrender to the army as a mark of repentance.

“Some of them claimed that they are farmers that were trapped in the enclaves of the terrorists and were happy that they made it out.

The military Intelligence officer said that surrendered terrorists would be carefully profiled before undergoing rehabilitation processes.

These people are not Boko Haram.They are just some hungry fellows.They just want to get benefits of the real Boko Haram.They want to cash out like the big boys.These ones are looking good compared to Boko Haram.Some of have barbed hair unlike Boko Haram with tattered hair.Most Boko Haram fighters are always looking unkept,with bushy curly hair,dirty clothes sown like uniform.
