AntiMCU: Mecka:The context of "ethnic black movies" i was talking about is playing out here because Denzel Washington has appeared in more mainstream movies than what you term "ethnic black movies" and the respect he commands in the black community is due him been considered a "barrier breaking actor". Will Smith on the other hand transcends many spheres of entertainment and finds movie roles hard to come by let alone an "enthic black movie" role, do you think he will turn down such roles if he was given? And he commands a decent amount of respect in the black community. And PS: Not everything "black" should be related to racism, slavery, community and brotherhood. Not every black person is a "racism avenger". Some black people are actually living decent successful lives far from the "community" and "slavery"..does this make them less black? People use to criticize Tiger Woods about his none stance on racism, and he replied one time that his parents did well enough to raise him in a decent neighborhood deviod of racism and that he has never been a victim of a racial attack, does it make him less black, does it erase the fact that he's one of the greatest golfer of all time? No. |

Presently rewatching Mad Max Fury Road on Netflix and they don't make movies like this anymore. Looks good on every rewatch. |

Karleb:that's why I'm very selective these days...but even I still fall for their hype... Imagine these guys spend like 100m on advertisement...that's more than the entire budget of most movies... Then they release like 5 teaser trailers Everyone will be forced to watch the movie with all that money spent on hype |
