mixture of sulfur, carbon (in the form of charcoal) and potassium nitrate (saltpeter). The sulfur and carbon act as fuels while the saltpeter is an oxidizer. When its in that pipe they light it up and the pipe explodes into small iron for high damage. Don't try this anywhere especially sulfuric substance with p nitrate and charcoal...
Sulfur even have a bad smell like rotten egg lol

While I don't support Ipob or any group causing unrest in the SE, this arrest is wrong and the man should hire a lawyer ASAP and sue them.

This is the local Igbo firework. It is called Mkpo n'ala. We used it during my late father's burial. At my place and when his corpse went to his maternal home.

Nigerian Police misfired on this one.

Come-on Nigeria police. You can do better than this. This is called mkponani. It is shot during burials to send fort the dead. It's also used to welcome respected guests to the town. When the governor came to visit our school the villagers shot this type of fireworks. This is no bomb, they should free the man and look for the real bomb makers.
