WESTERN UNION SHOULD STRENGTHEN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH JAPAN TO WATER DOWN THE MISCHIEF OF PUTIN AND Xi JINPING. |

orisa37:Read History again about the Meiji era ( 1868-1912). Japan built close strong relations with the West, learned a lot of tech until 1912. But what happened less than three decadeS after the end of the Meiji era? Pearl Harbor ! What do I mean? Arming Japan against China and Russia is a double -edge sword that can chop the headS of many westerners later because there is a possibility Japan turned against the U.S., the UK and and France. |

panafrican:With the situation around the globe,Japan cannot turn against the West. |

panafrican:Not a mistake. |

joyandfaith:It is funny that we "communers" ( ordinary people ) can see things many top generals cannot foresee. If NATO did not take any lesson from what came out of Afghanistan after the US gave weapons and provided military training the so called Mujahideen, If you think that a strong japan will not become the Empire of The Rising Sun again, then good luck to yo all. Better connect those dots. |

panafrican:Empire of the Rising Sun sees Russia. Korea and China as enemies. Japan is rebuilding her military now. |

joyandfaith:------------------- With in mind America as the prime target ! |
| Re: How The Slave Trade Ended In Japan by joyandfaith: 10:03pm On Apr 24, 2022 |
panafrican:Why do you think Japan will attack USA? During ww1, Japan was on the side allied power. Japan shifted alliance during ww2 with a view to grab lands from Russia, China and Korea who were on allied side. |
| Re: How The Slave Trade Ended In Japan by panafrican(op): 10:17pm On Apr 24, 2022 |
joyandfaith:You misread History. Japan did not switch side after WW2 because of what you said. The main reason the west does not want to acknowledge is Humiliation / Racism ! The Japs felt humiliated and victims of racism during the Versailles treaty where they were totally ignored, belittled by Western powers ( The UK, the US, and France). No-one considered their inputs. It was too bitter to take ! |
| Re: How The Slave Trade Ended In Japan by joyandfaith: 10:42pm On Apr 24, 2022 |
panafrican:Versailles treaty was more complex more than that. Japan was part of allied power during ww1. During ww2, Japan was with axis power. Japan goal was to be a regional power in Asia and control Asian resources. China and Korea were US allies at thar time. Even during ww2, if Japan did not attack Pearl Harbour, USA wouldn't have attacked Hiroshima and Nagashaki. There is no historical basis for Japan to attack USA. |
| Re: How The Slave Trade Ended In Japan by panafrican(op): 11:17pm On Apr 24, 2022 |
joyandfaith:Complex things are simple if we want to re-think the ways we approach issues. Japan was part of the Allied Powers and No-one listen to them. You have to be from another race to feel how humiliating it is when people from the same race sideline yo and overlook what ever you say. You got live it to feel it. As Africans who fought on the side of he same allied powers during ww1, and ww2, we clearly understand how he Japanese felt after spilling their blood for a cause and getting a spit in the face. |

panafrican:You are just speculating. I have told you reason Japan switched side during ww2. There are historical evidence to what i stated. |

joyandfaith:No speculations but facts that the white man will ever accept. Let's read what NPR sources say. BTW Thousands of other sources are available. Reading [...] Versailles' mixed legacy is even further complicated by a little-known attempt by Japan, one of the emerging players at the table, to move the world forward on the issue of racial equality.Read more @ https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2019/08/11/742293305/a-century-later-the-treaty-of-versailles-and-its-rejection-of-racial-equality

panafrican:It has nothing to do with ww2. Faced with severe shortages of oil and other natural resources and driven by the ambition to displace the United States as the dominant Pacific power, Japan decided to attack the United States and British forces in Asia and seize the resources of Southeast Asia. https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org |

joyandfaith:Read History again. " The rejection of the proposal would play a role in shaping the U.S.-Japan relationship , World War II" https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2019/08/11/742293305/a-century-later-the-treaty-of-versailles-and-its-rejection-of-racial-equality |

panafrican:Encyclopedia is what? It is history. The main reason Japan entered ww2 was to be a regional power. Japan proposal on Versailles treaty was to protect Japanese Americans and to have more control of Asian territories. Though that time Asian race was seen as inferior as black. Japan is also racist nation. There is xenophobia in Japan till today |

joyandfaith:From some History books written by the very same who rejected the idea Japan fought for during the Versailles Treaty. |
