When a mother is positive(+) and father is negative(-), their is no cause of alarm during child birth. Except some rare cases......

But in a condition; the mother is negative ( -) and father is positive (+), the children will be positive (+). This cause for alarm (Incompatibility).

When a negative mother is pregnant with a positive baby; during birth, miscarriage or abortion, there is exchange of blood, through placenta, this baby blood enters into the mother bloodstream and the mother body see the foetus blood as an antigen ( antigen: foreign substance that is not part of our body), the mother will produce antibodies ( antibodies: soldier ) to start fighting the antigen invaded her body.

This baby blood create a memory in the body,( that foreign substance as once enter her bloodstream), the Brain and body register it.
When nothing is done to erase that memory by given RhoGam injection to destroy the sensitisation caused by the baby blood, it will cause a lot of damage to subsequence pregnancy.

However, If RhoGam injection was not given during the first baby, no cause of alarm for the first child, but the subsequence baby will suffer it.
(I take Rhogham for all my kids because of this)
Moreover, If the mother get pregnant (second child), the Brain and body will sense the fetus as a foreign substance invading the mother body, this lead to antibodies ( soldier) been produce in large number to destroy that antigen ( baby), which causes miscarriage, but in a condition the baby survive miscarriage, after birth the baby will end up having haemolytic disease of the new born ( jaundice and anaemia), which might lead to death.

It's advisable to know your Rh factor early enough to avoid future crisis.

If you are a Rh negative, it advisable to collect RhoGam injection after abortion, miscarriage and, at each birth.

Sick frequently when I was younger, but now hardly fall sick for more than a day.

I'm usually short of blood, so I take iron supplements and lots of vitamin tablets. I used to be very sick too but now, I'm stronger.
