One thing about Lagos Yoruba government is their propaganda and deceit

Especially during elections

They will always come up with one project every election to deceive the gullibles and you see their paid urchins go Gaga ..
then immediately after election .. both the noise about the project and the project disappears

Fashola .. lekki free trade zone and lekki airport , mono rail and all bla’s

Today all Na wash..

Ambode .. BRT, Epe, fourth mainland bridge , bla’s
Today all Na wash..

Sanwo-Olu.. fourth mainland .. electric rail..
By 2024
Nobody will remember all this media hype till another election .. who knows what next.

Anyways is none of my business

Just how this humans scam themselves .. remember back in days .. Eko peninsula abi whatever

Fashola will grow old and die. Still that project will Remain a project ..

But Dangote .. refinary a private one .. is kicking up within 7 years in that same Lagos

Say Na Lagos state get that project .. Na for stories and media propaganda..

Lagos state government Na very large scam.

Tinubu is a bloody criminal.
Scam fueled by photo-op propaganda from people who should know better.

This simply means if nigeria gov leave state gov to work on their resource , Nigerian would have been in better place by now ... north are just playing game with us ... all this achievement is happening bcoz lagos has international airport , seaport and many more ... state like ondo state has more natural resources than that but the power at the top is holding them down .... nearly all develop countries dont operate in that way ... nigeria system of gov is the worst ever .... u c that Abubakar that gave power to Obasanjo.... e no go better for am anywhere the man dey today .... ogun go kill am .....he brought all diz calamities to us and we didn't c it..

Okay oo. Aa lęę so bęę. At last, I see pa jakande's age-long vision coming to pass. I'm sure they'd say this is Tinubu's vision, awon indomie generation. If not for corruption and regime change, the successive governments ought to have made this happen like 20 years back. The military regime interruption also caused the delay. Pa Otedola came and revisited it but couldn’t do much b4 military took over power again. Tinubu came and said he'd complete the project in his term, also build a power plant called Enron to power Lagos and the train but came back later and said, federal givernment frustrated his power plant project after wasting billions on it.

The ground-breaking ceremony of the train project was done in the 80s during shagari era, same buhari stopped it for no just cause when he overthrew shagari.

But can you tell us those that have provided the same so we can vote them into aso rock.

If you want God to destroy your entire household you can list the Pandora kleptomaniac criminal Peter Obi who can even pay workers for close to 13 months.

SEGLIZ:
even the entire south west, the more reason he has no business in Aso Rock.

leavegoodbehind:
STATUTORY FUNCTIONS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 provides in the Fourth Schedule the main functions of Local Governments in Nigeria as follows: –

(a)the consideration and the making of recommendations to a State Commission on Economic Planning or any similar body on:
(i) the economic development of the State, particularly in so far as the areas of authority of the Council and of the State are affected, and
(ii) proposals made by the said Commission or body;
(b) collection of rates, radio and television licences;
(c) establishment and maintenance of cemeteries, burial grounds and homes for the destitute or infirm;
(d) licensing of bicycles, trucks (other than mechanically-propelled trucks), canoes, wheel barrows and carts;
(e) establishment, maintenance and regulation of slaughter houses, slaughter slabs, markets, motor parks and public conveniences;
(f) construction and maintenance of roads, streets, street lightings, drains and other public highways, parks, gardens, open spaces, or such public facilities as maybe prescribed from time to time by the House of Assembly of a State;
(g) naming of roads and streets, and numbering of houses;
(h) provision and maintenance of public conveniences, sewage and refuse disposal;
(i) registration of all births, deaths and marriages;
(i) out-door advertising and hoarding;
(ii) movement and keeping of pets of all descriptions;
(iii) shops and kiosks;
(iv) restaurants, bakeries and other places for sale of food to the public,
(v) laundries, and
(vi) licensing, regulation and control of the sale of liquor.

Apart from these exclusive functions, the function of Local Governments shall include participation of such Councils in the government of a state as respects the following matters:

(a) the provision and maintenance of primary, adult and vocational education;
(b) the development of agriculture and natural resources other than the exploitation of minerals;
(c) the provision and maintenance of health services; and
(d) such other functions as may be conferred on a local Government Council by the House of Assembly of the State.

As provided for in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Local Governments have functions and responsibilities assigned.
Some of these functions are performed exclusively by the Local Government like the maintenance of cemeteries, markets and motor parks. On the other hand, some other functions and responsibilities are performed concurrently with the State Government. Among these concurrent functions are primary education, agriculture, health and any other functions that may be conferred on Local Government by the House of Assembly of the State. As can be seen, these various functions and responsibilities of Local Governments are quite enormous and demanding. The tragedy of the situation is that Local Governments have very limited and circumscribed sources of revenue to enable them execute meaningfully and effectively the functions and responsibilities assigned to them.

In my local government at Ajeromi Ifelodun in Ajegunle, we have not felt the presence of local government at all, take for instance, the road from otto – wharf to Achakpo have never been maintained for as provided in the constitution, the question begging for an answer, is what do the Ajeromi Local Government do with money that go to them? HOW IS YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT?, express your mind if indeed they are working now that you know their functions.

Maybe that is why the so-called progressives in charge of Lagos since 1999 have refused to provide free education for every child- to make it easy for them to fall for the scam governance and massive looting huh

You made sense , as in alot of sense . This project was actually Pa Jakande project in the 80s. He promised to deliver in 8 years and housing project in 4 years, which was the largest in Africa as of then before Gwarinpa came on board. Pa jakande delivered the housing projects as promised even before 4 years, but the rail project was truncated by buhari who overthrew the government of that time. Indomie generation shouting BAT up and down wouldn't know this fact.

Tinubu used it as part of his campaign strategies that he'd complete it in his tenure and build a power plant called Enron power plant to power it and also power lagos. This man spent billions on the power plant without yielding any results . He now later blamed its failure on the federal government frustrations. If not for corruption, this project would have been completed like 20 years back. 4th mainland bridge would have since been completed as well. They use it to campaign every 4 years. They'd do small and leave the rest. I can't wait for a regime change in lagos. If not for ambode who opened our eyes, we never knew Lagos was so rich.

New ideas like expired Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and recruiting 50 million soldiers to eat cassava as solution to unemployment and insecurity?
While ThiefNuibu is a smart politician who plays on the selfishness and greed of his godsons like Femi Pedro to stay relevant with enforcers like MC Oluomo to keep the votes flowing, the jagbajantis is really a dumb administrator. Very dumb!
