How's a team losing 1:0 an advantage? Can you walk me through your thought process on this?

I mean the only advantage for Madrid here is that their league title is wrapped up so they can rest players and focus on next week. But City are fighting it real hard in the EPL title race with Liverpool. You didn't point that out.

The game is anyone's but a 4:3 is equivalent to 1:0. There's no way Madrid is advantage here. If anything, Madrid need to come out and play, because they need to score. It will make the game even more open for City. For me it's advantage City.

The changing is in the mindset. The mindset will reflect in the play, after today's outcome.

The so called low energy you infer on Madrid's part is their strategy. Like I earlier opined, yea, they aren't so spectacular in their field play but they get result. When they played chelsh!t, everyone said they were outplayed, yet they got the ultimate result, qualification.

Real Madrid surprised me. I wrote them off totally. They had a good account of themselves & kept the loss respectable though it's mainly due to City's missed chances.
