thebosstrevor1:Once Twitter released Trump account you can continue to quote this, you don't know how websites run, as long as it's yours no law can be forced on u, the highest any country can do is to block access to the url for their country and as far as I know EU is never against freedom of speech. If Nigeria want they use Twitter if they don't want dey block it there is no loss to Mr Elon. |

Twitter was suppose to have a physical office in Nigeria by Q1 of this year, according to the FG. Where is the office as we speak? That was just to save face and knowing election is coming. Believe Lai Mohammed at your ow risk. |

Twitter has been suspending accounts like wild since it reached that agreement with FG. If you criticize government too much, your account can be suspended |

thebosstrevor1:Sit and think before rushing to comment, I am a webmaster so I have more knowledge about this than you do, the EU isn't against freedom of speech, note that down, Nigeria and her law have no effect on Twitter, it will only av effect on Nigerians, if you think Nigeria laws will force Twitter to implement any function change then tell the Nigerian Government to do their worst. Get that to ur skull olodo |

Ayomi90: Good for that you are a webmaster. The purpose of every business is to make profit. Twitter is not an ngo but a for revenue and profit purpose. A ban on Twitter in a country is a loss of revenue and Twitter is making sure to avoid that. That is why they obey laws and regulations. |

thebosstrevor1:Nigeria isn't the first country to ban Twitter and the brand still get bigger day by day. They make profit day by day so if one shit hole country decides not to use the social media platform it is the citizens of such countries that will loose more potential customers and earnings. You can only threaten a social media company still trying to grow with that, not social media giants. |

thebosstrevor1: You have obviously never worked in a structured multinational company or global firm, before. Commercial Agreements can be reviewed, suspended or renegotiated or even revoked, at any time depending on prevailing circumstances and the terms of such agreement. They may decide to pay the penalities associated with breaking the agreement, instead of continuing with it. If the company's ownership changes and the new owners have a different view on those agreements, they can always call for a renegotiation of the terms and conditions. All well drafted agreements always have an exit clause. 1 Like |

laudate: These are not commercial agreements between Twitter and Nigeria but regulatory agreements of which Twitter has to obey the regulatory rules of the state. Nigeria has a code of conduct in regards to mass media and any foreign company willing to participate in its media space whether online and offline needs to obey its law. Corporations are subject to the state and are not masters of the state. |

thebosstrevor1: What you just said shows you are not familiar with legal agreements. Any agreement whether commercial or regulatory can be re-negotiated, amended or even revoked at any time based on different situations that may arise, especially if any of the parties breaches one or more parts of it. All that is required is for both parties to aquisce to such renegotiations. Please talk to those who are familiar with this field. |
