She's only done 2 movies and a short. 1 movie was a coming-of-age comedy and the other is a psychological thriller that hasn't released yet. The reception for Don't Worry Darling would need to be massively positive to move me from terror to skeptical.

I was quite shocked by their age too. 36 & 38. Not much experience in the directorial chair. Since they seem bent on using a young buzzing female director, they could go for Greta Gerwig. But I guess she's so busy and booked right now. Funny as she's also 38.

Many female directors have been breaking out in the past 4 years. Especially young and new entrants. It's good for Hollywood.

At the end of the day, I know they could surprise me with a really good story but young female directors tend to get a bit overbearing with their feminist messages and that's what I'm afraid of. But as always, I'll keep my fingers crossed till it finally drops.
