I have some questions please:

There's a job offer but the pay isn't much - just about 2,400

However, I'm wondering if this will be worth it, considering that the job code falls under Skilled worker (Not health and Social care). so, application cost for a family of 5 is hitting the roof!

My question is:

1. When paying the visa application fee, will you be paying at official exchange rate (e.g pay naira equivalent to embassy's account), or required to buy GBP into your dorm account and pay?
2. For a 3yr option, are you required to pay the healthcare surcharge fee for main applicant and dependents at the point of application?
3. Is the TB test mandatory for children?
4. How soon can the TB test date be obtained and results ready, at this time?

I'm really wondering I can pull this through! the associated costs are too heavy! I envy those in occupations eligible for the health & social care.

My care company is not on the list too but they have a license. There is something called trade name. Some care homes have a trade name on their license and another name as the company name so just don’t base everything on that list

Guys oo, does royal mail work in Nigeria or how does everyone get their naric certificate? DHL or just e-statement? If only e-statement, is that what you use for the visa application...? Abeg, answer oo. I'm reading that Royal mail is blacklisted ooo

Most take the IELTS route, only because of the cost of Naric. If Naric was cheaper, who would choose to write exam? Lol.

They only ask for DL and when can I start work if employed and I said 8 months time.
Dey promise to get back in 2weeks time but if dey didn't it means I lost the job. My joy is that I was recognized within 6 hours.

I eventually got the offer letter but it says to pick an induction date from the ones that have been lined up from may to June 24th. That's the earliest date is two weeks from now and the farthest is two months. I've not done naric, I've not built my account...I never prep other necessities...house rent, flight ticket...

But some care homes i contacted that are run by Nigerians will tell u outrightly that they are not offering sponsorship. Na we dey do ourselves oh. One Ope a yoruba woman with one carehome like that no even let me land as she hear say i am from Nigeria. Another one i called today even saw my number and i recognized her Nigerian accent and she no let me land too NO SPONSORSHIP. Our Nigerian brothers and sisters in uk una well-done oh.

I have amended my CV after a review by an expert.
I have gotten online care certification from Alison.
I got an overall band 7.0 score in IELTS UKVI general test.
I am doing internship at a care home and at a hospital. Infact, I have over stressed myself.

Yet, every morning, I will receive 'unfortunately' for most of my overnight random applications.

Please somebody should help my ministry naah! I must go o!



Have you tried calling instead. Get their numbers on their website and call to enquire if there's space. Trust me calling does the magic.

The standard work visa is 15 working days but there has been delays. I just want to have an idea of how long the delays have been.

It's stated on UKGOV that it takes 3 weeks. And I know 3 weeks is more than 15 days. How did you come up with 15 days?

I applied around that period and mine came out two days before Easter. So, maybe visit their office, call or send emails to find out reason for the delay.
