Point of correction, Ferguson first champions league/European cup campaign with United was from the 1993/1994 season. He competed in the Champions League for 19 seasons with united and got to 4 finals. Nothing bad in that .

He lost to one of the greatest teams of all time. Any other team and Fergie would have had 4 to his name. You were the same person few days back talking about how great the midfield of Xavi, iniesta and Busquet are.
