The UK does not recognize IPOB as a Terrorist group but it will not grant asylum to its members because of violence.

"Though IPOB has not been proscribed in the UK, the fact stated by the Nigerian government that it is a terrorist organisation is true. We do not allow those who perpetuate violence into our country.
