2023: Atiku Will Win Presidential Election Wide Margin - Ondo Reps Aspirant

A leading PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Dr Jasper Adeleye Olusayero has declared support for former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar ahead Party's Presidential Primary election.

Jasper Adeleye disclosed this on Sunday while addressing newsmen on the sideline of Atiku's engagement with Ondo PDP Delegates at Party State Secretariat, Akure.

The Idanre born politician said Atiku Abubakar has the capacity, capability, national acceptability, resources and clout to defeat the All Progressives Congress during 2023 General elections, noting that imminent victory of the former Vice President has destabilize ruling party.

According to him, Atiku Abubakar remains the best Presidential Candidate for PDP. He secured victory for our great party during 2019 general elections but the APC deployed federal might to have their way. This will not happen in 2023, we must stick with experienced politician like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to win with wide margin.

He thanked Ondo PDP Delegates for giving the Adamawa born politician a rousing welcome during his engagement session on Sunday.

Jasper Adeleye however appealed to all party aspirants vying for different offices to run issues-based campaign, saying 'Primaries is a family affairs and we will all come together to work to ensure party's victory".

As much as I don't want Atiku on the ballot for PDP he stands a greater chance of getting it democratically. The only person from the south that can beat Atiku in the race is actually Tinubu. The south has to unite if not , we'd have another Northerner as the president and that's going to be bad going forward . There's no law binding zoning, it's just a gentle man agreement.
The south has to make a statement now for zoning to continue.

Zoning is not in the constitution, but in a country like Nigeria that is culturally and religiously diversed Zoning which in this case a gentleman agreement is adopted so as to carry every part of the federation along in the scheme of things.

Now, there is a clamour for the presidential candidate to emerge from the south, which region should be considered first at least if we look at the fact that since the return of democracy in 1999, the south west have had the opportunity to become the president of Nigeria and also the vice President of Nigeria for a combine years of 16, the south south have also had it own share of the opportunity of about six years while the south east have had none.
Wouldn't it be morally right for the south, as you pointed out to unite and ensure that a president from the south east extraction emerges.

Don't you think So.

But what we are having at the moment is a situation whereby politicians most especially from the south west clamouring for power to return south, but clandestinely and cunningly refusing to comment on which southern part should be considered first.

as we know it's not constitutional it's just a gentle man agreement. Legally Atiku has right to contest except he morally steps down . Now in the south in general I don't see anyone who is sagacious enough to wrestle the presidency from him asides Tinubu.
Can you name someone else from PDP or APC who stands the chance . Power is not given but taken.

If, I mean if the whole south unites together and commit both material resources and time such individual is capable of defeating Atiku, after all Jonathan defeated a northener to become president.

But because the south is not United, we are now looking at an individual, with an exaggerated individual capacity and then assume that such an individual will be able to slugg it out with Atiku.
