Sometimes, I wonder what has befallen us as a country that made us reach this current sour state of governance. Buhari's inefficiency and a failed government have given an edge to every corrupt tom dick and harry the guts to contest in the pretence of being able to do a better job.

The height of it all is the current purchase of form by the CBN governor. He Constitutionally is expected to be non-partisan in politics and secures the country's economic and monetary interests. With this happening, it only shows not just the corrupt nature of this administration but also the irregularities that exist in it. Only God knows if we still have a functional President or just a public figure playing to the gallery.

In a clime and sane society, the CBN governor is expected to resign openly from his appointment and even have a legal charge based on the sudden nature of his declaration while still in his current position. Anyway, welcome to Nigeria, where laws are made for the poor. Too pathetic

There are a lot of assumptions we repeat so much as a nation, we start believing them. The bold is one. Over the last 30 years, the Chair of the US Federal Reserve have all been card carrying members of political parties.

This absurdity is one of the bad precedence Buhari brought upon us.

Imagine a CBN governor playing partisan politics in the open. The monetary policy of such a country in unsafe, incompetent and complacent hand.

A sane president will immediately show such a political CBN governor the door way, but an incompetent Buhari will rather compensate him.
