MTN is always fond of sending me this scam pop-ups and sometimes I click on "OK" absent-mindedly and before I know it they've deducted a chunk of my airtime before I realize the mistake.
This pop up comes to me up to 6 to 10 times a day
This is pure scam from MTN. They know that if they send sms no one will subscribe to their useless music and jokes nonsense. The only way to force people to subscribe is to send them these scam pop up messages and people will unknowingly click on it. Sometimes I cancel the pop-up and it refuses to cancel, it'll just be there waiting for me to click on "OK".
This is too bad from MTN. There's no way to know everything that you unknowingly subscribe to and no way to unsubscribe from this scam.
Worst part of it is that it's a recurring charge, that's how they'll keep deducting from your airtime for life until you destroy the sim.
What's the best way to report this scam to NCC and please how can I stop this ridiculous pop up from MTN.
Even if I recharge 3k from my bank, before I say jack the airtime is finished

Guys are you also experiencing this problem and how can we get out of this stranglehold. This is evil

Everything, including the old ones u are talking about will stop automatically after using that DND code.

I imagine how telecommunications business turned to gambling, get Rich quick, health, sports and comedy institution.

This will not stop the pop-ups. It may block certain junk SMS from getting into your phone but it won't stop it. I have Do Not Disturb enabled on both my MTN lines but I still get these messages.

On etisalat it stops onr from receivimg google verification code via sms.
