thebosstrevor1:That's what they say on social media. There are no statistics backing this up. Most of Kuda's customers are tech-savvy so any small error, they come to social media straight. I have heard countless stories and witnessed people whose funds got stolen through USSD, till today, no refund even after reporting to the police. The owners of these monies usually go quiet after visiting the bank branch 2-3 times. What of illegal POS transfers? GTBank debited my money once for a failed transaction. It took them one month plus to refund my money. The branch was close to my office so it was easy for me to disturb the hell out of them. If it was Kuda, I would easily go online and tweet, cause commotion to get attention and my issue will be resolved. For Fraud cases, ask about Access Bank. For the bank with the highest rate of money missing from customers' accounts, ask about UBA. For the banks that Fraudsters use to collect stolen funds, ask about Union Bank and UBA. |

/ Nigerian banks can be very effective and reduce manpower hours by: 1. Updating their websites and make e-transactions easy and efficient. 2. Make sure they keep the ATMs loaded at all times. The proliferation of POS vendors and non-paying ATM machines even in the bank premises is questionable. / |

Banking industry is in mess now. No thanks to rise in operational cost ( diesel) . Any time there is downsize on the workforce, it has always been the contract staff that suffers it, even with little earnings they receive as monthly salary. In most bank eg. ABE salary can 5 contract staff salary, BE bank Executive salary, can pay 7 contract salary, SBE senior bank Executive can pay 10 contract staff, just mention but a few. It will be wise for banks to start downsizing from the top most echelon , at least some of them have enough savings and investment, unlike the contract staff that are living from hand to mouth. No matter the number of contract they lay off, as a means of cutting cost, it will amount to nothing . |

Everything is wrong with the banking industry. Those top management officials are not human beings at all. Wicked animals. How can you force all sections including the gate men to bring in customers? I wanted to close one of my accounts. The marketer was intentionally delaying me. I knew she would be questioned on why she facilitated the account closure by those demons with black suits. I just left the money for them. |

InvertedHammer:Are you sure it's not deliberate? That way they push the cost of maintaining the machines to the POS vendors Although looking at another angle, a lot of youths are using the proceeds to support themselves, who perhaps would be idle or into crime. Tbh, I rarely use bank ATMs these days. |

| Re: Panic As Banks Plan Downsizing Over Rising Operating Costs by smasher1(m): 7:19pm On May 17, 2022 |
bjtinz:How do they push such cost to POS business. Impossible. The cost remain same whether they load or not. The problem is no staff to maintain the ATMs in almost all branches. What you have is someone who has a different function handling the ATM in addition to his job. So there would be inefficiency as a result. |

Wishful thinking! It's no more the employers world, the employee dictate the tunes now for the skilled ones. Banks that are facing serious skillset drain to the fintechs and japa series. Infact I know of ten banks in the past 3 years that have resort to increasing salaries to prevent staff from leaving and retaining best hands. Infact bank employees are resigning to work abroad jobs from Nigeria. They are just trying to get government attention. |

fizzy4luv:You’re on point bro So many things happening...tech inclined workers are ditching the banking jobs for bigger tech jobs. Employers are now at d mercy of these tech inclined workers in d bank. When you write to them that you will be leaving soon,,,see so much perks and incremental changes. One news site carried this unknown issue going on in d banks some weeks back. I will get d link |

nonxo007:To be honest, Nigeria cannot survive a Peter Obi presidency if he does what he says he will do. Imagine a country that has been feeding off borrowed money to pay salaries and for politicians to steal, suddenly you cut off those borrowed money. What do you think will happen? I don't know too, but let's see what happens. |

Awesome27:Na your father dey talk rubbish for defending those useless and toxic Nigeria bank workers, maybe you are one of them. Is that how you will be running your business like those bank staff are treating bank customers if you are a business owner? Let me tell you this, if there is alternative for banking in Nigeria, none of existing Nigerian banks will have customers left due to the obnoxious attitude of those bank workers, especially First Bank. |
