BREAKING NEWS: Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the TOTAL BAN on Okada in some Local Governments in Lagos State, effective from June 1st 2022, The whole of IKEJA, SURULERE, ETI OSA, LAGOS MAINLAND, LAGOS ISLAND and APAPA Local Government Areas.

Governor Sanwo-Olu gave this order today while speaking with all DPOs and Area Commanders across the State today at the Lagos House, Ikeja.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says other security agencies will join in the enforcement.

This doesn't actually solve the menace because the police were called to calm the situation but they failed to stop the hoodlums until they killed the guy.


Lagos has to work on police response time. There should be a limited time police must respond to distress calls

As much as I like and support this ban, it will only make the Police extort more. Ban will not be effective, in Oshodi and Agege bike will still be allowed, how will a bike man ride from Oshodi to Agege without going through Ikeja where it is banned.
