My school fees is 27,500 I can't fault the lecturers cause most of them don't even have cars like their counterpart in private unis, so we are probably striking as result of the cheap university education.

The federal government needs to find a sustainable way to fund these institutions.

It is easy to call the lecturers greedy if you are not in system, how many of you can keep getting paid 100,000 for over 25 years in service.

The bold is the truth but we are all not ready for this conversation . When Fashola tried something like that increasing Lasu fees by 1000% , it met huge criticism and wide condemnation . Nobody even ready listen to whatever he has to say that quality education is not cheap .

Maybe the people believe Nigeria is a rich country that’s it’s leaders have mismanaged it’s resources , the people feel at least give us education at subsidized rates and we will allow u chop whatever amount U want to embezzle

We dey take Chemistry lecture in 2001 when a lecturer proudly announced that they will be canceling session for 9months because they were tired only for him and others to proceed to a private university where he dare not do that rubbish to earn double salary while on strike

These lecturers should try their luck in the private sector and see how things go in such sectors

Govt work is where greedy and lazy people want to park themselves do little get paid whether you work or not

It's in govt places where you have the most inefficiency because work or no work you get paid even steal money join

Many of those lecturers will never want to work in the private sector because they know they will not grant all those useless demands

Check the lifestyle of a graduate who works in a govt civil service vs a bank gets paid 200k but has to wake up by 5am be at work by 7am and won't leave till 8pm. And if dem born you well try go on strike

That's why some lecturers will rather stay put to earn while on strike

It’s really annoying . When my colleague was processing his relocation and wanted to renew his international passport , if u see the wahala he had to go through when they claimed his NIN name arrangement does not tally with what was on his expired passport .

He was asked to go to Abuja and all ……. Smh . Thank God for man-know-man, another colleague whose relative works in NIN was the one who assisted in sorting the issue . Something that would’ve cost him over 80k in traveling and accommodation if he had traveled to Abuja and he would’ve greased enough palms sef .

It’s madness and these challenges are put in places by civil servants just to extort money from the masses.

No structure will work with the number of greedy citizens we have. They will always look for ways to extort and subvert the system.
