i said it a month or so ago - silvercrest blenders are a chinkoish product someone brought to nigeria and made dubious viral videos for

it is a copy of a binatone blender

somehow my original post has disappeared

from the very beginning silver crest has had dubious branding

they claim its rated 5kw

do you know what 5kw is? your wall mounted split ac is 2.5kw max.. with 4mm x 3 core cable. look at the cable used by the so called 5kw blender. that cable is less than 1mm x 3 core. that alone tells you its rating is actually the same or lower than the rating of your run of the mill blenders. 5kw may even trip your 8ka petrol generator, much less the preferred 2.5-3kva most people use

like so many other naija-market products sold in nigeria - silvercrest actually does not exist [ sometimes you google these products because you want to see their final source] - which means that once the product has taken off, everyone runs to china and churns out lower and lower quality versions of the product until whatever initial goodwill it got is dead.

There are two versions. The fake and the Original.


When people see the Original and the prices are high they would be mouthing off that it is too expensive. Then go ahead and buy 15k fake ones and complain about how it didn't last. Even ordinary binatone is minimum 25k nowadays.
