So in the other thread of similar name, someone said Ikwerres are not Igbo and buttressed it with some differences in the central Igbo language and Ikwerre language. I decided to compare the numbers 1 to 10 in with central Igbo and Ikwerre language 1 to 10 in Igbo and Ikwerre 1 = Otu(Igbo), Otu(Ikwerre) 2 = Abuo(Igbo), Ebo(Ikwerre) 3 = Ato(Igbo), Eto(Ikwerre) 4 = Ano(Igbo), Eno(Ikwerre 5 = Ise(Igbo), Ise(Ikwerre) 6 = Isii or Ishii(Igbo), Isiinu or Ishiinu(Ikwerre) 7 = Asaa(Igbo), Esaawu(Ikwerre) 8 = Asato(Igbo), Esato(Ikwerre) 9 = Itolu(Igbo), Tolu(Ikwerre) 10 = Iri(Igbo), Ri(Ikwerre) Any similarities? 5 Likes |

Poland and Ukraine similar language but different people. Urhobo and Isoko similar language different people. Bini and Yoruba similar language but different people. I think this issue of ikwerres been Igbo or not has been settled, So why bringing it again  Nigeria government should do needful and conduct a referendum, Nobody is forcing any body to be or not to. Igbo is our closet neighbor, not ijaw or Yoruba, our great ground mother's, Ground mothers, mother's Wife's are all igbos so allow the ikwerres to be for now. |

Don't waste ur time op the whole denials is deeply rooted in nigeria's politics the calculation is for ikweres to have their own separate identity so that the nigerian state won't persecute and marginalize them just like they are currently doing to their brothers in the five eastern states. Umahi of ebonyi is also trying to mobilize his people to take this same route. 2 Likes |

spearman:Stop decieving yourself, Niger Delta contains Imo and Abia States including farther states like Edo and Cross River States, and can never stand as one nation for obvious reasons. For you to believe that Delta Igbos will rather go with Uhrobo, Ijaw and Itshekiri instead of fellow Igbos in SE shows how ignorant you are. As for ikwerre, they can be whoever they want or even go to hell, we Igbos don't give a damn about them.
