Reports suggests Russia is a little bit disappointed with them not invading Taiwan already and has expressed outrage about china accommodating USA's threat and not taking a bold stand like they did.
USA warned Russia of a very serious millitary response from them if they invaded Ukraine but Russia sees itself in a position to go against USA and all it's Allies head to head in a conventional war so aware of the threats they still decided to invade Ukraine knowing they are ready for absolutely anything.
And even with all the heaps of sanctions and threats against them they still carried on with Thier plans.

What could edge china on to immediately invade Taiwan now is if they have the total millitary support of Russia.
Infacts there have been some reports suggesting china is asking for intels on Russia defense and offence tactics.
Of course china has also started it's war games,it even blew up a replica of a taiwanese naval base in preparation for an invasion so it might come sooner than we thought

U are very correct. The best way for China to overwhelm USA is not by military confrontation cos it will really slow down their progress. What they want to do is to gain economic might over US, while still building up their military. That way they will pose more threat to the US.
