I’m still surprised by how we went from very good to bang average.
After the international break we just went downhill, And we need to perform a serious squad overhaul if we are to compete next season, Xavi too won't have any excuses for nxt season sadly

You have to appreciate the consistency Busquets have had over all these years. It was difficult to get a replacement because there was none capable of eclipsing him. Even in national team, Rodri still plays second fiddle

I don't appreciate mediocrity. With Busquets and Pique still commanding starting 11, Barcelona won't smell UCL.
He's being phased out gradually in NT and Rodri will take over. You think Enrique mumu like Barcelona coaches since he left coaching us?

@jp. I remember how we discussed this issue as far back as 2018 (4 years ago). Busquet is still our main DM even after we chose to buy FDJ and not Rodri.

Looking back, would we have achieved more with Rodri? especially if we look at how important he has become for Man City.

2. I'm tempted to write Ferran but the last 4 games ( bar yesterday) have showed me some mediocrity about him so Ama go for Luuk De Jong. Clutch player.
3. I don't think 30 years old Pedri is young anymore so I'd rather choose powerhouse Gavi
4. Dembele, without batting an eye
5. Eric, sorry but he's the only guy that wasn't consistent with impressing me, for at least 3 matches straight. Adama comes next.
6. The BULLYING at the Santiago Bernabeu was more than enough for a rebuilding side like ours. I'll take the win.
7. Einchraft Frankfurt at the Camp Nou. Those fvckers aside from buying their way in, exposed too much flaws in Xaviball and ended up injuring Pedri.
8. Ansu's goal against Celta Vigo, first leg. Pedri's goal against Gala and Sevilla and finally Jordi's thunderous strike against ATM

Question is, who in your opinion can replace him? It is not like we can walk into ManCity tomorrow and walk out with Rodri.

Games Busquets didnt play this season has been nothing short of disaster. We dont have anyone in the squad capable of doing half the work that he does.

He might no longer be on top of his games, but I dont think Enrique will bench him in NT though.

We have had that discussion but 4yrs on, we're still where we were. Quite sad for us.

Let's see what Xavi will do. They claim that as much as 11 players would be shown the exit and that as much as 9 players might be joining this summer.

The truth is that nobody has been given the chance and freedom to replace Busquets. All the coaches post Enrique have just been too lazy and incompetent to properly utilize another player in that position. He is always playing every game, and the few times that he doesn’t play, they will want his replacement to play exactly like him, forgetting that Busquets has his own special skill set that makes him excel.

I fear Xavi is already doing the same thing.

Busquets may have been doing well this season, but we all know Busquets is not what we need for another season.

No one has been given a shot at replacing him. Someone said Atleti won't have sold Rodri like the same Atleti didnt sell Griezmann when they figured we were intentional about him.

Busquets isn't better than Rodri for the past 3 seasons infact Busquets hasn't been better than the DM of Real, City, Chelsea, Liverpool or any of the top CL contenders for the past 3 to 4 seasons.

Any serious club will not start Busquets. He's done, finished and it's annoying that Xavi is even looking at him remaining a starter.

Best Signing of the season - Aubameyang. just for the goals he scored. Nothing else. Overall play is abysmall.
Best Young Player - Pedri. Easily
Most Improved player - Araujo. Gavi not far behind.
Flop of the season - Sergino Dest. Ruqui Puig not far behind.
Best Match - Real Sociedad vs Barcelona. We showed resilience in a very difficult game.
Worst Match - Barcelona vs Frankfurt. Our fans and socios betrayed the club
Best Goal- Jordi Alba vs Real Betis. The last minute volley to clinch UCL qualification.
