The US has also been smart enough not to get into direct conflict with any country that can embarrass it and it learnt that lesson in Vietnam with the way Vietcong peasants embarrassed American military might and showed it’s a paper tiger. There’s a reason why the US has been avoiding a country like Iran for 4 decades in direct confrontation, lol. Now, imagine what Russia and China would do. The UK got embarrassed in Argentina by conscripts and since then it somewhat slowed down.

Read my last statement. Even against Nigeria US go think twice. The world is not as it is 30 years ago. Even despite how powerful they may be some leaders still hold restrain in dealing with adversaries. Currently politics is not played by using brute strength and needless invasion where you can both have diplomacy and dialogue. Why didn't the Russian fully invade Ukrainian why didn't they use full force and topple the Kiev leadership which was their objective, why did they slow the pace of their advances and even changed their mission objective to a less aggressive role. Is it that they are far inferior to Ukrainian in military capabilities? The Ukrainian resistance has inflicted much casualiity that affect their power projection? Or the Russia has seen sense in being cautious and not jumping into any escalation even if you have superior capabilities?

In times of technological industries like better multi dimension cooperation like lockheed Martins, Boeing etc not only does US have some of the most advanced tech industries but they even have many of them given rise to competition.
