what i said originally:

In terms of what is Kenya going to catch SA?....we already know it ain't economy, can't be road network because we are at least 80 years(11th in the world), can't be rail because we are over a 100 years ahead there(13th in the world) , can't be airports(20th in the world), not see ports, can't be sporting infrastructure, definitely not catching our Universities, not catching our Health sector(especially private)

so you ain't catching our economy or infrastructure....so what exactly are you catching??
Spain surpassed us in road network?

Our road network is not updated it has been 750 000 for the past 6-9 years

Actually your economic growth will drop this year,so said imf.

From 7.5 to 5.7 grin
That's still higher than Nigeria's projected growth.

Maybe compare the size lamu port 3 berths are already working
You are making noise. Your lamu dream(it’s not feasible, they are serious economic concerns about the location of the port) is not bigger than badagry deepseaport,it’s just slightly bigger than lekki deepseaport which is set to go into operation September this year .

Badagry deepseaport should be about four times the size of lekki deepseaport and will take about 2.5 years to complete.

Oil price was down last year but this same country that is said to be dependent on oil proved imf wrong and grew at 3.9%. That’s show we’re are slowly shifting from oil dependency.
An on top of that Gid has chosen to pit countries against each so oil price can soar wickedly high and stay high(albeit before the Russian-Ukrainian brawl oil price was already above 80bdp, the war just took it higher). Expect a 5.0% this year if not higher.

And with Europe losing their major gas supplier which is Russia they are now looking at that nigeria to feel up that void. Once the Nigeria AKG gas project is completed this year we would have the whole of Europe at our mercy. Now Expevt as high as 8.5% in 2023 when you also factor dangote refinery and the lekki deepseaport (80% of west Africa and central Africa cargo business will be handled by Nigeria) that should be operational by then.

We're not in 2000 where family planning was a none issue in Kenya. Kenya's population growth rate has been showing a downward trajectory since 2015! Next year, it will be even lower than the current one

So, we will never catch up with SA, in terms pf population.

The rest are usual emotional gibberish from a shackman cool

What about dangote refinery.

On Saturday, Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote and Akinwumi Adesina, the chief of the African Development Bank, both toured the Nigerian greenfield crude oil refinery.

Dangote announced the plant’s will begin operations by the third quarter of 2022. The plant which is located in Lagos is hoped to be a game-changer that will spur Africa's development and deepen regional integration. The production will have at first a processing capacity of 540 000 barrels a day and is expected to reach full capacity by the end of the year or early 2023.

The new Nigerian focus for the economy is gas not evil oil. Russia is 8th in terms of largest gas reserves in the world and Nigeria is 9th.
Unfortunately the immediate Governments after Obasanjo did not continue with the NLNG Train 7 Project where he left it until Buhari. Also the AKK Gas pipeline only began around end of 2020.
One good thing to note here is that these gas projects are being carried out by indigenous companies.
