Good

So in 5 years, we added half your country 50 years of building paved roads... You see how useless your country is? grin grin

In the next 2 to 3 years time, there will be an additional 11,000km to bring our total to 55,000km
Not unless you can't read in between the lines. grin

Kenya's energy demands are self-sufficient and self sustaining with an installed capacity of 2984 megawatts and a pick demand of not more than 2051 megawatts.... blackouts are so rare that when it happens it's National News and senior people at the electric company get charged for economic sabotage.
Kplc even operates helicopters for live powerline Maintenance

Kenya installed capacity is 2038mw and peak demand is 1800mw ... There's nothing self sufficient about energy consumption in a presumably growing economy. Unless your economy is not growing, you energy consumption must go up...

As we speak, your country is currently shedding load because 1800mw is not enough for 56 million people, not even enough for everyone to put on a 50kw light bulb

Your country is not just a serious one..

In Ghana, electricity demand increases by 400mW yearly... That is what serious economic growth looks like

2022 reports from kengen state otherwise.. talking of self sustaining we long transitioned from Hydro Energy to geothermal energy. We are now among the biggest geothermal energy producers . Basically we can just sink more wells corresponding with our energy demands. No need for expensive Dams as long as the the molten earth crust exist.

burden of proof on you...

I won't describe 300mw geothermal as big because that is less than the output of a small gas combined cycle turbine.

You have 57% hydro and 32% thermal, the rest is geothermal..

You can't just sink more holes

in the energy field, we refer to thermal units as plants Which burn fuel to produce heat whether internally or externally.

Geothermal is a different classification

Are you clear now?
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just40: 1:44am On May 30, 2022
Electricity - about 15% of the national population.
Use of electricity in urban areas as the source of lighting - 42%; although kerosene lamps still remain the main source of lighting for 55% of households.
Kerosene for lighting in rural households - 87%

In this modern age, yet 58% of Kenya urban population have to rely on Kerosene lamps for lighting their homes..
Really Really?

Why will you guys be so backward like this?

Kenya's access to electricity stands at 71percent. Highest in East Africa if not Africa

Largest population corhot in Kenya is between 10 to 14 yr old. This means that in the next 10 yrs they will be joining the productive workforce Kenya is on the verge of an economic takeoff if not revolution.

Was in Msa recently and will return this week. Am researching smth. On the way back I passed by Ziwani camp, Tsavo....WOOOOO! I see the quality of our tourism product:
- the training level; fyi Utalii tourism training school is world-class with graduates everywhere from Dubai to the Bahamas and NYC
-the undeniable expertise that has designed our hotels and lodges making each establishment unique unlike brick and mortar cookie cutter simplicity in other places
- the variety of beach and savannah safari isn't offered in WA
These MOFOS being completely clueless will now unveil Obudu cattle ranch for the 952st time to compare. Like a Probox challenging a Rolls!?

Ghana has 94,200Km of classified roads and an additional 20,000km of unclassified roads.
Anyway size of the country, and population will determine how much roads are needed

I mean 2m population with 7000 km road network is enough for them right.

Also industrialization is what drives electricity usage, if you check countries with more electricity consumption are those that are more industrialized. Household don't take much of the electricity.

With electricity consumption per capita is also very important

Kenya access to electricity stands at 50%, according to your own census..

You can't even connect people that live just 15km away from the grid because you country is broke.

if you can't provide the electricity required, that take off will be a mirage.

The time to start is now cause it takes 3 years to build any decent power station

correct on all point .... Countries with proper manufacturing consumes massive electricity to show the power of their economic activity... If you look at Shanghai lockdown, their electricity consumption has dropped massively because of a slowdown in economic activity. Once they start opening up, it will shoot right back up.
