listen laaitjie, I didn't check ur urbanization rate and I didn't bother to do before I posted that..... But I know it's over 50%.

Now for learning sake, anytime u see the word "over" before a particular adjective or figure. Then the subject is more than the adjective, it could be a bit "over" or largely "over", as long as it's "over".

It's either u're brain-dead dumb or an utterly emotional schmuck for u to come up with the jargons up there.
That is something we should have done especially even we dealing with facts on this thread.

You cannot dismiss an entire 30% with "over 50", that's a lot if you ask me.

The laaitjie still have an ax to grind with me, don't add ur stupidity to his burden.
Facts can't be debunked.

If it was bs or misinformed submission, you'll never spare even a sec to jump right in for debunkation(don't shift goalposts with this word)

Mining, manufacturing and other industries take up more electricity.

Kenya is mostly an agricultural country, Tea and flowers they do not farm farm which is needed in their country.

They build houses on their most fertile lands, Kenya has plenty of rivers and water. They should consider building a city in the middle of the country away from fertile lands.

And that's my 2 cents
Thanks You've also observed same...

They've developed their most fertile lands for housing and then cry that they are 70% arid ....
Egypt wasn't this stupid

Tanzania has improved its manufacturing and food production capacity, they used to get most things in SA 20 years back but they have improved their own.

Most will be angry by me saying this but it's the truth
That's a country that knows the importance of growing what it population needs to survive instead of wasting it fertile lands growing tea to feed Europe while it spend more money importing food than it gets from exporting tea.

all these long hogwash without any meaningful point.

Urbanization rate in this context is a country-to-country affair and not ur dumb assertion. Even ur idiotic self started with India as an example but in ur quest to score a non-existent point, u're now dabbling into city by city affair. idiot.

What u don't know is that, urbanization rate only distinguish urban and rural areas, not slums as u're trying to make it, idiot.

But I'll still give u another chance if ur fluidic brain will come up with better submission, idiot.

If 60% of a city's population lives in slums to me it points out lack of town planning development

Because that means a country did not build enough for people to flock in 1 city

Yes there may be other factors like booming population rate but planning is top
grin grin

You will see him argue this till dark.

What is Nairobi slum % again?

Last time I checked, it was almost 60%

Now You've resorted to insults? Amazing! Do You understand that that is my area of specialty? Don't be an emotional punk and focus on the points.

Understand the logic my friend! Don't be like a certain zombie who always runs on a small substrata of everything and rules the whole point out.

I even underscored the aspect of inhabitable share of land; between both Kenya and the countries at hand but your puny brain is still struggling to decompound.

I repeat: don't be an emotional tw@t.

Never try to peddle psychology stunts with me.
Don't force things that are not there. And don't force a discord between us.
You majorly focus on negativity by trying to demean other African nations... when people retaliate with the same energy, you'll start crying foul.
If negativity is something to go by, your country takes the crown. But we're always here pushing positive vibes for your country.
grin grin grin grin Lol who is this guy.
If he does what can you do? Pls just answer this question,I am begging grin grin

Hope one day they will maximize their outputs by exporting 90% finished and packaged tea.

It's their most important commodity exported, or send it to its neighbors for processing and packaging that will still be OK.

Same goes for many African countries

AfriqueDuZuid:
What's negative in what I wrote?

That also happens in Asia, carribean, South America not exclusive to Africa.

Even fellow Ghanaian know what I wrote is true, he's not complaining. A wholistic development is needed across the country to rid off slums, even if you house those in slums others will continue to come.

Building cities and developing other regions in the country will definitely alleviate the migration to a single place.
Exactly so

Just accept facts kiddo ....

You have 14 million urban dwellers and almost 50% of them are slum dwellers.

That leaves just 7 million people in properly developed areas ....
This even reflect why your middle class is just 5 million people as well

let me start by asking u, my laaitjie. What is PPP to u? smiley

Explain it like u would to a 100l student. wink
As I've said already :

jl115:
ppp means purchasing power parity....as in prices of local goods and services have been taken into account along with the absolute purchasing power of the local currency.

In other words poverty figures won't be higher in countries with cheaper goods and services simply because of a stronger doller
What I also said:

jl115:
What you stated(bolded) is the problem when using nominal amounts to calculate GDP or poverty..thus economist use ppp since it takes into account differences in prices of goods and services as well as purchasing power of that specific currency.
Now please tell me where I'm wrong grin
