Only God can stop Tinubu from been president of Nigeria, that is if God does not will it so. Tinubu has done, been doing and will continue to do his home work way ahead of his competition. I m beginning to feel this whole APC charade was to force PDP into bring forth another Northerner. A Wike against any other southerner can go anyway. One must remember that Atiku's financial muscle is no longer has heavy as the likes of Wike, not after losing so many elections. Why shouldn't the Yoruba vote for Tinubu given that they say religion for them is secondary? Or religion is only secondary in Yoruba land when and where the Christian interests are served?

If the SW will vote for Tinubu en bloc, he will definitely do better in the north although may not outperform Atiku. Point is, he's the only one out there who can even try and give Atiku a good run for his money. Anyone is a walkover for AA.

You are just being wise by half, we all know Osibanjo was never in total control of the economy, he only make suggestions to the Buhari, and he either takes it or not. Someone that was suppressed after the stunts he pulled while Buhari was away on sick leave. Someone who was almost killed, twice! Vices that outshines their bosses are rendered useless in Nigeria. But like a wise ambitious man, for him to stay alive and have a shot on his first political move, he's taking the fall for what he doesn't have full control over, the Nigerian economy.

Now there is something you call contentment, and there are words they call being ambitious, obsessive and greedy. These sets Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu and Osibanjo apart. Atiku is a very corrupt greedy old Fulani man, who has cheated all is life, so you wouldn't expect him to give up (since 1992 o). Those who are technocrats go back to their professions after office. When last did you hear of Sambo in the political cycle...Okonjo Iweala, Kevin Adeosun, Adewunmi Adeshina, and the likes? They all got jobs abroad.

Moreover, Osibanjo is a Pastor, Prof and SAN of the Federal Republic. What educational qualifications does Atiku have to be distinctively relevant outside politics. Never ever compare greedy career politicians like Tinubu and Atiku with seasoned technocrats.

I thought he already had a candidate in mind and just asked the governors to allow him bring him on. Why is he now asking that they consult and produce a formidable candidate?

To me, Buhari has now played a good part indeed, but he's not the one saving the APC per se.

In my view, the fortune of their party, the APC is being saved mainly by the southern governors who forcefully demanded that their presidential candidate come from the south.

Thankfully, their northern counterpart governors more recently aligned with the south and strongly advised President Buhari to also be in alignment.

Suddenly, Buhari is no longer an emperor, who up until just a few days ago had wanted to handpick the presidential candidate of their party, and is now in alignment with arguably the vast majority of the members of their party, and urging the cleared aspirants to please come up from within themselves a consensus candidate specifically from the southern part of the country!

Morals of the story: Don't try to play Emperor when you have neither the required guts, ability to be decisive, nor, quite frankly, transparent character.
