Governors/Godfathers can impose candidates in their states because they control their party structures in their respective states but the President needs to convince the Governors to support him in whatever choice he wants to make.

I have said it before, only a naive politician will think Buhari won’t have a preferred candidate, the koko is how he will make that candidate emerge.
