You forget people mostly earn way above those minimum wages abroad and earn less in Nigeria

I just wanted to point out the kind of people he should be comparing to.

The man said a minimum wage earner was living pay check to pay check, like that's not what minimum wage earners are supposed to do.

He should trying getting by on even NYSC allawee first, before discussing a minimum wage earner in the united states

we re enlightening folks here to know it isn't always greener on the other side..

People say it like japa will automatically translate to success when you reach obodo oyibo..

On every single nigga that japad and made it, there are hundreds that japad and came back empty handed , some roaming the streets abroad with nothing to show for it..

Let no one be deceived that leaving the country will automatically make you successful..

Nobody has said going abroad equals instant success.

What we have said is that if you want a society where you can plant hard work and reap the fruit of your labour, go abroad.

In Nigeria, someone will climb that same tree, eat the fruit of your labour, and sheet in your open mouth from the top.

If anyone of you who is against Japa online is secretly trying to Japa offline, may your visa and that of your family be denied, may you never make it to obodo oyinbo. Even if you are given visa, may your passport getting missing and thrown into the lagoon from third mainland bridge on your way to the airport.

As in where do you want to even start to fix Nigeria, when a civil servant sees tax avoidance, salary theft, and energy theft as a the perks of living in the country?

The man described not paying Nepa bill as the icing on the cake. Omo that cake go sweet gaan o.
Lol... How someone sees this as a blessing in Nigeria is cry

Being proud enough to say it confidently outside as a blessing is another issue.

Are you ready to work under a transgender boss like Ibime said he once did?? Would you be comfortable walking on the road and seeing 2 men kiss everywhere you went?

Even at that, Nigerians know how to cøck-nyash and the message is for Nigerians who will expect to live frugally when they are fresh, not Oyinbo that goes out and blow $100 every weekend.

I saw one girl complaining on TV that her salary is not enough to stretch through the month, and in the background, I saw Warburtons bread and that 10 big eggs brand. I had to laugh. She doesn't know her problem.

Infact this thread dy complete. Been reading this thread since coogar days.
Sports, Religion, Politics, Travel...e full Chelsea thread.
**Seeing someone advertising Peter Obi and the same person saying "I will leave this country for good" Ahhh donjazet you fall hand.

**Some people still saying living abroad is slavery when I could barely get a teaching job after 5years of my graduation in 9ja with a Biology degree, today I work as a Biomedical Scientist in UK....My father was a civil servant and my mum a full time housewife o.
**If you want to live peacefully and help your generation and you have the opportunity please JAPA

I am being realistic. I don't want to go via students visa and obtaining it via work visa is proving quite difficult. That I want to leave the country does not mean I have given up hope on Nigeria. One can want two things at the same time, they're not mutually exclusive.
I want the system in Nigeria to change. I'm passionate about that. I support Peter Obi because i believe he is the best of the rest. All of us are drawn to support the underdog. All peter obi supporters know they are the underdogs, that's why they are going the extra mile to see us win.

If we lose, we know we gave it our best shot but I can tell you, the momentum is certainly with us. No slowing down.

I know here in PH, PHCN marketers tell us they are paid based on how much they can bring in monthly from the cluster they manage. It's a waste of time trying to bribe them.

Who knows, maybe it works differently in Asaba

@BlueRayDick You've seen why you cannot directly compare the income of someone in Asaba with another in Lagos or PH

Dem fit dey bypass meter that you dare not do cheesy

No matter where u stay in Nigeria , if u don’t steal or cheat the system there’s no way 200k will be enough for u , ur wife and 3 kids still in school .

Na why I no bother put mouth for the discussion since, cos I know the guy will not come out clean. At least he has said it with his mouth

We pay very low taxes in Nigeria. In America my poultry farm would most likely be taxed. My wife's salary is not taxed at all. Mine is deducted from the ministry but my tax is just 15k monthly. But federal government pays emoluments and allowances.

I also don't go to work everyday. The same thing with many of my colleagues. We have a system that covers for each other. I go to work only 3 times in a week.
You can't have such laxity abroad. You will work through your nose.

Lastly let me tell you the icing on the cake, I haven't paid nepa bill in 3 years. Around us we have people that rig the meter, so it doesn't read. When the nepa people come much later, we settle the staff and he goes. This cannot happen in abroad.

This right here! Killed whatever message you were trying to pass. I was trying to make sense of your point until this right here.
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
I don't even understand your message still, are you criticizing those that want to leave the country or what exactly?

I think he is trying to highlight benefits that can be enjoyed within the chaos

not paying taxes or light isn’t an inherent crime

if government want to fix the light problem, getting everyone to pay their fair share isn’t the first step, they should fix generation and distribution, naturally illegal practices will g away, with Nigerian gas reserves, if things are properly done, power can be cheap enough that people wouldn’t even see the need to game the system

And don’t get me started on that circus called taxation, people like to hype it but it’s just a way for the political class to dictate how much money people can hold

Oh well! While I agree that it’s easy to live an honest, direct, candid and forthright life in abroad because of their good working system and opportunities.

I’ll also be telling lies if I say most Nigeria based Nigerians condemning Onyemaair here are not doing worse offline. I’ll sincerely be telling lies if i say that 90.922% of them condemning him are currently not or at some point enjoyed illegal light connections here. cheesy

All of us in Nigeria dey do mago mago offline, na smartness and connection when e favor us, but na corruption when e no favor us.

What i personally find wrong is coming online and forming motivational speaker, condemning japa gang aka J-Gang and using epistle to disturb us about PVC, whereas you’re very corrupt offline. Na that one wey no make sense.

For now, make we follow people wey dey abroad dey form tax payers and forthrightness, but we know as e dey go offline.
