Yes man

If the South East Politicians can't compete to get the ticket, nobody will fight for them to get it.

Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo, Onu contested against Falae

Okorocha contested against Yardua and Buhari.
If south can't compete they should not cry when north rules for 50 years straight

But 1, Christianity is also a major tool in South
Secondly Pidgin language is widely spoken there too. .

I think you're yet to find to find the problem.
we're not really bond by Christianity, SW has many Muslims too.
And a major factor you should look at is that, Islam as a religion itself unifies people, Islam has same ideology mode of life and even has its own culture unlike Christianity, Catholics has different values from Anglican and pentecostals and so on.

Pidgin is not a southern language, it's a Nigerian thing. Moreover , we can't really call pidgin a language. We're talking of a language , an identification that gives you a feeling of belonging.

You said it all

As a matter of fact the hausas are minority

However, It'll very hard for the whole South to unite
We have three major ethnic groups in nigeria:HAUSA,YORUBA AND IGBO.The yorubas and igbos who are the major tribes in the south could not unite the other groups together, instead, they submitted themselves to be used by the hausas to betray one another, especially the yorubas due to their cowardice of imbibing the islamic religion, this led to the annexure of one of their state( kwara state) by the hausa/fulani expansionist. The igbos are a bit better, for their bravity in repelling islam.

leksite120:
A lot of those commenters don't even understand what he's saying well.
The major reason why they're unified is two:
(1) Religion
Islam is a major unifier among the North unlike South which has diverse religion especially in SW therefore making it easier to speak to their ideology and since most of them are not educated, they get easily manipulated.

(2) Language
Hausa language is commonly spoken even among non-hausa in the north which makes this another major tool in uniting them. In opposition to the major claim that Hausa is the most populated tribe in Nigeria, I somehow disagree, Hausa is just the most spoken language

That's the major reason it's easier for any region in the North to fortify their goal for each other cos they see themselves as one. The two Northern president came from the same region and even the same state(Katsina) and none of them made it a fuse. Meanwhile, it'll be a problem in the south.

This is how it should always work. We should compete among ourselves in the south , then the highest bidder get all our support, but in a case where one person is docile and he's expecting the other to submit to him for no reason is absurd.

Naturally, everyone should earn it and we should do as if we don't know each other, but for the fact that our neighbor(North) keeps using the unity card , we have to buckle ours too just for formality and our goal sake.
Meanwhile in the real sense, we're not in any way the same, we're totally different, and that's the bitter truth . Our culture and everything is completely different
You get it right. Islam and Hausa language unites the North. About 14 states in the north are Muslims dominated and Hausa speaking people.

The only man correct in this political saga is OUK.
South, GEJ + OBJ= 14 years.
North, UMR + GMB = 10 years.
For their to be equity, the north must complete their 4 years.
Anybody saying it should come to the south should be specific ( SouthEast) or forget it.
Southwest cannot blackmail us with southern presidency qhe they are fighting for themselves. Infact Tinubu confessed he installed a Northerner against a Southerner and He now wants our support.
Let the North complete their remaining 4 years then we can tell about the Southeast not even southwest or south south.
Before you start thinking from your anus am from Rivers state.

South is not divided just greedy ...a simple zoning agreement can't even be respected and you want to blame the north ?

Yorubas and south south are to be blamed

If southern governors had insisted that it's the turn of south east who born north

Atiku even offered to step down if it was zoned to south east but wike said no ...stop blaming north

Blame south south and south west politicians
This is one problem I have with the Igbos. The fact that they never agree to a fault.. To them, out of the over 250 tribes in Nigeria, they are the only ones not at fault..

They forget it was one of them who stopped Awolowo's mandate to insert a secession clause in the constitution. They forget they were the first ethnic group to cause a coup. They forget they were the first people to wage war on an ethnic group and forced them back into one Nigeria. They forget that in the history of the country's election, they are the only none Northerners that have supported the North more times than others.

They are the good people in the story and everyone else is the bad person.

I personally take a few steps backwards when the subject is politics.

But nonetheless, this is more of a vivid fact than politics.

The North has a high voting power born to immense cooperation, population and above all agricultural productivity.

I see no reason why any right judging person would back disunity in Nigeria. If the North could decide to hand over presidency to the South. That shows a true respect for federalism.
North voluntarily handed over to Obasanjo in 1999.

Igbos have been sounding this warning from the onset. The south is just a tool for the north to use or discard as they deem fit or necessary. Let's forge our own country or fight the north together but the south west said no because of promise of presidency. Nonsense, we must remain in nigeria and continue drowning.
Igbos have been making noise as always. Nonsense! Failures always trying to prove a point even when no one is listening

Obasanjo 8 years South
Yar'adua 2 years North
Jonathan 2years South
Jonathan 4years South
Buhari we should assume 8 years North
South has ruled for 14years
North 10years

So Nigeria started existing since 1999?

Any Southerner that rules Nigeria, and does not make restructuring his or her top priority, I will truly know Southern Politicians are weaklings and cowards.

Yorubas are not as politically aware or even sophisticated as they always arrogate to themselves. In a multi-ethnic, multi-religion and multi-region country like Nigeria, a particular group felt they could rule indefinitely at the expense of others. If the Yorubas have the population and wherewithal to achieve it, then it would have been okay but when they're at the mercy of others, it becomes ridiculous.

If SW is allowed to rule in 2023, it would mean by 2031, they would have ruled for 24 years as president and vice out of a total of 32 years since 1999!! Even when SE hasn't even had anything and SS just had 6 years!! If that's not greed then nothing else is. I created a thread about this a long time ago and warned them that's a major reason why Tinubu or any other person from SW would never succeed Buhari.

Left for Tinubu, he would want a situation whereby only Fulanis and Yorubas will be ruling back-to-back without any atom of feeling for others. Igbos understood what was playing out and came after him with full force. Abiola had same mindset when he wanted to force a Muslim-muslim presidency on Nigerians without minding the feelings of Christians. He told Igbos that he can do without them, exactly the same thing Tinubu tried to do. On both occasions, Igbos rallied and ensured they never succeeded.

As it stands now, only a radical change to the system can stop the North. The South now has a chance to massively vote Peter Obi based on competence and railroad North Central to key in. That's the only way we can create a new system whereby leaders would be elected based on who has the best qualities and not necessarily because of where the person is from.

If the South can pull it off by helping to galvanize others into bringing Peter Obi to power, the old system would die. However, if otherwise, then the North may end up ruling till thy kingdom come because after using the SW to rubbish the rest of South in 2015, they're now using the SE in 2023, and by 2031, they may choose to use the SS or switch back to SW and rinse and repeat the whole process.

The North should rule for 1000 years rather than an Ibo or Peter Obi becoming the president.

I'm with Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100% just the way Shettima a Kanuri man is supporting Tinubu. Okowa from Delta State supported a Fulani man from Adamawa.
