Most king post range from about 7ft to 20ft. For me I would generally not do it past 12ft especially with all this wind that is lifting up roof during the raining season.

The 1.5mm is okay but my concern is the 2.5mm that is 18-Red 18-Black. Is he using 2.5mm for AC ? Let me come up with my own assumption. Not 100% correct anyway because i don't know how the electrician fix the pipe.

If you are installing inverter split A.C. 2.5mm can be use for 1hp, 1.5hp because they consume less power

But for the conventional type, they have power rating of 2000 watt to 2200 watt, so your A.C. will draw a current of 11 to 12 ampere at 220 volt supply. Your A.C. can be run on 4sq mm cable as the current carrying capacity of 4 sq mm wire is usually 26 to 32Amp but must be a Nigeria cable, However, most of the equipment normally have a starting current and always double the running current

Firstly, I advertised Engineering Design because i am a Coren registered Engineer. I never Advertised designing architectural drawings for 48hours.

Secondly, When you are good at what you do, 48 hours will be a very long time for designing structural drawings for just one residential buildings like duplex

Thirdly, We are in a technology age now, with help of the right softwares and good engineering calculation skill and experience.... 48 hours is too much for a structural engineer to produce structural drawings for a simple duplex...

To Burst Your Head... I Finish the Real calculations and drafting in 2hours using quickCivilSeries, orion and PRota structures software.
The reason i mention 48hours is to allow time for checks and mistakes that can be corrected...

Technology is moving... Move with the trend... For \example in entertainment industry, Music singles is done now within 1 hour now... something that takes old studio weeks.

Just a quick guidance question. One of my pet peeves is people using shared property walls as part of the wall for buildings, especially gateman houses. I think it's unhealthy and a security risk.

How can I avoid a neighbour doing this? Is there a setback rule for gateman houses?
