You are obviously an outsider to the politics of the South West.

SWAGA was formed around 2014 and went to work immediately after the election of President Muhammadu Buhari. The first invite message of SWAGA I saw was in 2015.

Everything was carefully planned, executed and bankrolled to ensure that nothing rocks the boat. It is that vision, focus, detailed long planning and strategic execution of the plans and mobilization , not wishful thinking, that ensured that folks like PYO, HE Fayemi and HE Amosun who acted against the ideal of SWAGA were roundly defeated.

In the real sense, even after Asiwaju's tenure, SWAGA will remain as a platform to position highly talented, resourceful and patriotic Nigerians of SW origin in strategic positions in government for the prosperity of all Nigerians.
We chose to remain in Nigeria to make it one that is prosperous and fully attains its God given potential.

We understand how positioning is vital to achieving this objective because once Nigeria is prosperous and safe, Southwest Yorubaland will be prosperous and safe too.

Our vision, interests and destiny as Yoruba are perfectly aligned with the destiny and national interest of Nigeria. That is why we put forward only the best among us ; we owe nobody an apology for loving our fatherland and our ancestral Yorubaland. To be a good patriotic Nigerian, you must be a good patriotic Yoruba and vice versa.

We want to lead Nigeria to prosperity so we can keep attracting huge investments and talents to Yorubaland, not the dregs from other regions who can stay back in their region if we create a prosperous Nigeria for them. That we shall do.
