After close to 8 years of a failed government of a sick old man, all genuine lovers of Nigeria not accentuated by greed and personal interest, religious or ethnic parochialism must look beyond another apparently age stricken man like Tinubu for the great task of rescuing this nation

Or does he look fit and healthy enough for the fast of rescuing a failed nation. Let him climb podium first without staggering or being aided.

That said, let me add that my opinion on his running is out of desire to have balance of power. Even a religious fanatic like Buhari rejected Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015 as unsellable in today's Nigeria.

If the Northern Muslims whom you claim would love Tinubu over Atiku are not ready to see him as Muslim enough to represent all Muslims in Nigeria so as to cede the VP slot to a Christian, then their love for him is questionable.

The difference between the Muslim populace and that of Christians is that the Muslims are core religious bigots while the Christians are likely to compromise. Out of the 100 million that you mentioned only 15 million are actual registered voters. Out of that 15 million, at least 5 million will vote based on quality, physical location and other sentiments before considering religion.

Muslim Muslim ticket will jeopardise his middle belt or North central votes..mind you, there are lots of minority Christian tribes and natives in most of the northern states like Gombe, Borno, Adamawa etc.

Muslim Muslim ticket will springboard the start of his presidency on a very wrong premise and breed vices like disharmony, distrust and marginalisation..which was what PMB started with by his utterances against the SE/SS after being elected.





A Muslim/Muslim ticket might not be the worst thing considering he needs the Northern votes more than those in the South. There's nothing he can do to get votes in the SE/SS, the SW is already locked down for him regardless so his major focus should be on places like Kano and Katsina with the biggest voting populace.
