2023 Elections: Watch Out For Peter Obi - Prof Omitola Olumuyiwa by YourhealthNG2(op): 12:30pm On Jun 11, 2022
A professor of Political Science at the Osun State University, Prof Omitola Olumuyiwa, said Nigerians should watch out for Peter Obi in the 2023 Presidential elections.

Prof Omitola spoke to the Punch Newspaper on Friday concerning the chances of the four leading political parties - APC, PDP, Labour Party and NNPP.

He said, “All of them have unique strongholds; Kwankwanso will only have votes in some places in the North, maybe in Kano and a few places, because of the Kwankwasiyya movement, but he does not have a national spread.

“Obi is someone to watch out for, but the problem with Obi is that I don’t see people from the South-East voting for him. They are likely to go the way of Atiku. People will look towards Atiku because he has a better chance than Obi. However, the way Obi is going, you will be surprised that people from the South-West, the North and the South-South will vote for him. He is seen as a kind of departure from the norm.”

If you like open one billion threads on him on the social media, the reality on groumd is that he is going nowhere.

Opening threads and typing on social media is so easy to do that a single individual can open multiple accounts to post multiple threads but it is just plain stupid to think it will translate to votes especially in the rural areas and among millions not on social media or can not understand English.

He will get an equivalent of the votes to win Alimosho LGA in Lagos state.

Probably a distant 5th position in the Presidential election after Asiwaju, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Sowore if he does not quit before elections to join Atiku

There is no polling centre online and to win elections, you need structures in every of the wards in Nigeria not every social media.

You are all wasting your time and it is quite unfortunate.

The professor that spoke is on ground, not online..

You can trace him to Osun State University.

The massive online support for Peter Obi is gradually being replicated on ground... We still have a long way to go though..

Peter Obi must not be deterred. He must not listen to Atiku but go ahead to participate in the election to prove that Ibos are not slaves like northerners take them to be cheesy

PDP like using Ibos to achieve northern agenda. Peter Obi must refuse to be used again this time. Atiku should step down for Obi to replace him if PDP are serious with Ibos cool
